Absolutely disgusting. One of the nastiest rooms I've ever stayed in, with terrible service. Guess what we found when we pulled the sheets back?This was a time-crunched overnight stay before my partner had to fly out to Florida. We didn't have time to find another room when we made it to this location.• Upon arrival, one elderly man was at the counter, acted fearful and cautious instead of greeting me, and didn’t seem to want to let me in. After I showed my ID and chatted him up a little, he relaxed. My keys were passed to me, and he told me he upgraded my room per my BWR membership status. I thanked him, looking around as I walked out:• The lobby was extremely unprofessional: There was a curtainrod over a door that held 5 or 6 full body Halloween costumes, operating as a sort of makeshift curtain.• A dog was barking incessantly as I walked past the lobby, and I was able to hear it continue barking when I arrived at my room.• I looked around and took the video, highlighting the broken drywall around the door, the food on the curtains, the heater, a weird patched-in fan in the bathroom, and the disrepair of the room.My partner had to work, so I packed his bags for the flight, then we went to bed.• In the morning, we stripped the sheets for the cleaners (my mother cleaned hotel rooms, and out of respect, I try to make their jobs a little easier) and discovered the body hair and fecal matter at the very bottom of the bed, where neither of us had been. It’d obviously been there for a while, as it stained through to the mattress cover below.• We were preparing to leave, but when we looked outside, there were multiple police cars and people milling around a room in the building opposite to us, and someone in the mix yelled something hostile to us when we poked our heads out of the door. We waited for a while until the excitement died down.When I mentioned these issues to the gentleman who’d checked me in, he shrugged and offered no apology, just instructed me to leave my keys outside.I’ve stayed at Best Westerns many, many times, and have never had an experience like this. Just before flying out, I stayed at another BW in CBD Melbourne , and had a WONDERFUL experience. Clean room, personalized note left for me with a cute chocolate, wonderfully professional staff- Utterly different experience.UPDATE:I wrote a letter and shared pictures, which was passed on to upper management, and received an apology from Mahoney's manager, Kevin. I truly hope they're able to improve.

They have a dog that keeps on barking it kept me up all night and the beds are not good enough to sleep on and the staff members are not very nice the block judges would not like it here and there is a lot of bad things happening here

A quality low cost option in the out Melbourne area. The room was clean, with air conditioning and a comfortable bed plus a newly renovated spacious bathroom with a big shower and rain water shower head. I will be back again.

Good quiet location, love the fact that the windows open properly unlike hotels nowadays. Room mostly clean, would be nicer if the windows were too. Would also appreciate having shower gel instead of soap and a shower cap. Staff friendly and helpful. The best feature is the ability to park your car close to your room.

No microwave, advertised free washing machine use between 7 and 10 there was none, only two tiny pathetic tea cups in room, no option fo mugs, aircon remote batteries flat,blanket with cigarette burn hole,and this was the upgrade room??

The room was immaculate, with every detail thoughtfully considered, including complimentary snacks. Whenever I had a question or needed anything, the staff was always happy to help, and they were extremely prompt in responding to any requests.

worst stay ever, the reception wouldn’t even let us in they spoke to us through a hatch and made us pay outside through the sliding doors by card holding all our suitcases in the freezing cold. while there’s a cat walking around reception??? will never ever stay here again this place literally needs to be shut down and the rooms smell like rat droppings. the customer service was the worst i’ve ever experienced, i saw another review saying they felt like they were treated like an animal and that’s what it felt like

Worst motel if you can even call it that, rooms are dirty and disgusting carpet has turned leathery from how old and dirty it is, leather couches have been ripped throughout and not replaced, felt dirty walking in the room and beds have old mattresses where you can feel the springs in your back and also had stains on it. Toilet seat has an off white colour. can’t sleep all night as all you hear is junkies talking and being loud outside, I’m sure they can afford to fix their rooms up but choose not to. Would stay anywhere else tried to leave early as it was too disgusting to stay another minute and they try to keep as much as your money to not refund.

Best quality for money hotel. Clean and tidy. Not to the say customer service experience.Witnessed a small quarrel between the front desk and another customer (due to booking issues). Dealt by the young lad at the front desk very professionally. Did not end up like Karen tiktoks.Would 100% recommend for families, couples over for a stay.
