The Strand Hotel
Lovely, friendly and attentive staff and good pub food. We had the steak and the Caesar salad. I thought $22.50 for two schooners was a bit much though and the intrusion of the gambling paraphernalia was off-putting.

Pub close to the ocean though it’s across the road. Nice bit windows for a good view of the ocean. Colleague had the veggie Mediterranean pizza while I had the Wed steak special. Pizza came out quite quick while the steak was a bit delayed and then was too rare when I asked for medium rare. Luckily the waitress just took it back for a quick cook. Colleague said that the pizza was good.

Went for lunch on a public holiday. It's across the road from the beach but didn't feel very special. Just a regular pub with limited beers on tap & an average menu.Ordered Tiger prawns with mango salad and arancini.40 minute wait for food which arrived without knives, forks & napkins. Did get the cutlery but not the napkins.The arancini was over cooked but tasted ok.The prawn & mango salad was destroyed by some yellow mush which I assumed was the mango that made the whole meal taste bad.Maybe all the regular staff had the day off?Then again, maybe I should have read the reviews before going.

Meals were good value and tasty, Customer service was excellent.Wait was a little long for food but just enjoyed the view and drank more beer.

Hot day ac is not on only fans stinks like off beer tables are very sticky and it's been over 30min and we are still waiting on our steak sandwichs. Only 4 small tables of ppl so not busy at all so not sure why the food is taking forever.

My partner and I have eaten here for the past 2 nights my 350g rump has been perfect both nights and my partner had the karagee chicken tonight and very much enjoyed even the spicy kimchi I had a taste and was impressed, beer was cold service was good, do recommend.

Setting is nice and a great spot to enjoya meal in the aircon with an ocean view.Unfortunately we had a really long wait for our meals over lunch time, with kids meals coming out last. Even the chips that we ordered long before we ordered our meals took about 20-30mins to come out.The meals were quite tasty and there were lots of positive comments thrown around the table. However there were also lots of comments about the size of the meals. The salads had very little calamari or prawns in them and the side order of chips were tiny. I also wasn’t thrilled with the amount of avocado that I got for what was charged.I recommend everyone take the couple of minutes to become a member to save money on your meals, as it is free to join, and can save you a fair amount of money.

Had lunch on the 27th December 2022. Will not recommend & not visit again. My friend had brisket which was tough and like leather. I had coconut prawns. The salad was over a day old and the prawn dish had too much coconut. Expected better, especially when paying a decent price for a meal. There are better places to eat in Yeppoon and cheaper
