Great place! Dog friendly. My staffy is very unsociable so it gives her a chance to run around. If we see another dog, it's normally on the other side of the beach.

Beautiful until the north easter gets up and blows - ridiculous that u cant swim with your dog in the water holes where its safe and calm - keep the dogs out of the national park but share the beach - birds can fly out of harms way but its nuts sharing the beach until 9 am and after 5pm - dogs are part of families and they should be controlled etc but come on Council share the beach. Most everything offered to dogs are beaches u wouldnt visit let alone swim at - rough and undertows. Shoalhaven Council is a dog friendly Council - i pay rates and i would like to see a friendlier Council towards dogs.

Mystery Bay is really pretty breathtaking so. You can see Montague island from the shoreline. It has easy access with the car parks and picnic tables right on the grass before the Sandy beaches. Beautiful Golden sand and Rocky outcrops, a great place for swimming and looking at mysterious rock pools search for tiny fish, crabs and various barnacles and tiny molluscs.It's a must see beach, with wonderful views of the sound surrounding beaches and clifts.
