I had the most lovely nurses care for mum on the ward. Simone was so gentle and explained everything to mum and listened to my concerns. she even got warm blankets for her comfort from staff

Staff were very professional and kind and hospital was very clean and sterile. I was quickly assessed by the Emergency Triage Nurse and then Nurse Nicole and Dr Nicole both made me feel comfortable and conducted all the relevant tests I needed. I have spent a lot of time in a lot of hospitals over the years and my experience with Byron Central Hospital was definitely up there as one of the best. Thank you!

I’d like to express my gratitude to The Team at The Emergency Departement, Rosemary, Zak & Doctor for their professionalism, compassion, friendliness & efficiency during my short stay on Thursday 22/09/22.I feel overwhelmed by the care I’ve received from the nurses & medical team, specially when I felt so vulnerable after my car accident.You’re all doing an amazing job!May you continue to enjoy & love what you do!Please pass my thanks to all concerned.Mirtha Christian

Reception and staff have been consistently rude, patronising and unhelpful. Have been here for a number of reasons, non urgent and emergency. There is no compassion or kindness in the way they treat patients. I understand that they may be understaffed and anyone in the health system is bound to deal with some difficult people but for some, these interactions happen on the worst days of their lives and are stressed or scared. Unless you’re having a heart attack or are bleeding out, go to Lismore or Tweed.

My 84 year old Mum was taken to Byron Emergency by the Ambulance. The ambulance team, doctors and nurses treated her with so much care and respect. Thank you for looking after her you made her feel so safe and helped her so much.Excellent care!

Being from Melbourne and needing to go to the emergency ward, I found the service was really pleasing. They do the best they can to get everyone assessed and looked at. I could not fault them. Well done team.

I’m from Melbourne and came to get baby Panadol for my baby as she started to get fever at 1am. All the chemists would be open at 8am. It took us 45 mins to get Panadol. My baby was already uncomfortable and understand they had to run tests but they don’t explain it until I ask and when I did the nurse looked like I inconvenienced her. The impression I got was to do as I’m told. I barely got sleep monitoring my baby before coming here and they kept us at the hospital for 2+ hours for this simple thing.
