If you are new to the hobby ( as I am ) or an experienced aquarists, you can’t go any further than Newtown Aquarium.Van and the team were very helpful with all their knowledge and expertise in helping me setup my first tank! Added to that the excellent Post-sales advice of how to run and maintain a healthy fish tank, you would be ill-advised not to stop in and say hello. I couldn’t recommend it more highly for their customer service, thank you.

Really good selection of fish and other products. Priced well for the area, contains some unique fish breeds not found at others. Owner is passionate and if you can be served by him you will have a better experience. Staff are knowledgeable, and really helpful answering any questions you may have. Will be back

Very clean, well organised, fish were well looked after.The manager was absolutely amazing.He knew every detail about everything ,helped me to get a new European fish tank pump and put it together , highly recommended.Great prices too .

Van and the team at Newtown aquarium were extremely knowledgeable when we were looking to buy our first tank. They have a section of the store where you can set up your own Aquascape and play around with the different rocks and driftwood to make it exactly how you like it. Van is excellent at what he does, and was able to help me design a tank that included an underwater waterfall/sandfall!The shop also stocks an impressive array of fish as well as aquascaping items, equipment etc. They can also fill up CO2 tanks if you’re using it for plants.Definitely the place to go if you need some advice/looking to jump into aquascaping your tank as well.

What a great aquarium shop! The coral and tropical set-up is amazing. Will definitely go back as we grow into the hobby. They also have a great collection of scaped aquariums on display - which really showcased what was possible.

The customer service at Newtown Aquarium is above and beyond what I’ve experienced anywhere else in Sydney. Van and the team walked me through the process of setting up a brand new aquascape tank, answering all my questions and sharing their knowledge along the way. The fish and plants are healthy and thriving in my new tank and the store itself is a delight to visit with amazing aquascapes to look at. Definitely recommend!
