Loved this campground. Heaps of space even though at full capacity. We drove to the manna gums site and think Poplar Flats is better. We did see lots of 2wd cars accessing the area but there are lots of potholes and muddy spots so wouldn't recommend it. There's a great swimming creek with shallow sections too only about 1-2 minutes drive back the way you come in at the bridge. The creek at the actual campground wasnt suitable for swimming as it was steep to get down to and quite rapidly flowing. Not a fan on the drop toilets but better than nothing. The rangers came to check so make sure you have your pass. There are some nice walks off the manna gums site from suitable to young children to experienced hikers - bring suitable shoes.

Clean and flat area great for tents. Toilets well maintained. No phone reception, great place to get away for a while.

Big, open camp ground with lots of space between sites. Fires are allowed in designated fire pits and barbecues. Access to walks, lookouts and day trip areas nearby.

Beautiful Goomburra. Toilets clean. You can use the formed BBQ 's for a wood fire. We did 5 good walks. 2 are reasonably difficult.

I absolutely love this place! It's nice and quiet with heaps of wildlife around. In summer you can go and have a cool down in the creek as well. Definitely worth checking out.

Good but basic campground with toilets, water (treat before drinking) and fire pits with bbq plate. Must bring own firewood as collecting timber is prohibited. There are several properties along the way in that sell firewood. Camp has shaded and open spots, so good for summer or winter camping. Bookings must be made online at Qld Parks & Wildlife. There is no mobile reception at the camp or along the trails in this section of the park. The camp is only 6 minutes walk to trailheads or you can drive and park there. The adjacent campground 'Manna Gum' is bigger and closer to the walking trails but is usually busier. Road in from the highway is mostly single lane bitumen with a few kilometers of good gravel road at the end. We took in a 2wd 25ft motorhome no problem. Just be aware; between Poplar and Manna Gums campground is a dry gully crossing that might be a problem for low/long vehicles. There are three very good loop trails of varying lengths/grades. The shortest 'Dalrymple Circuit' is quite easy with clear paths, some boardwalks and good signage ... but does have a couple of creeks crossings via stepping stones.
