The Black Stump
Small replacement of a historical landmark. There was not much to do around nor a significant reason to stop. The actual location itself is easy to miss, and could use some sort of place-setting to make the atraction more apparent. There is some singing from the town, however it is in fact easy to miss. Still recommend a stop if you're passing by.

For a only a small detour (one block behind the school) off the highway, you can stop by and see 'The Black Stump' - an imaginary point beyond which the country is considered remote. Tell your friends that you've travelled beyond The Black Stump! A great distance indeed.

Famous Australian saying ‘Beyond the Black Stump’ or the ‘Other side of the Black Stump’. Not a real tree stump here, Interesting story and a reason to have a rest stop from a long drive.
