David Jones - Burwood

It's a much smaller department store, but it's just as good as the flagship store in the CBD. Staff here are very helpful and friendly and always greet you when you enter. I was looking for specific colour trousers and shirts for work and the staff who helped me was very efficient and prompt. A great department store to shop.

I visited David Jones Burwood on Saturday 5 May 2023. I would like to commend your company on the excellent superior customer service I received from the managers on duty, Kelly-Ann & Harsh. An incident occurred which required management and luckily for your company you had two very qualified, customer focused managers on duty to rectify the issue. Both Kelly and Harsh displayed empathy, understanding, support and displayed their willingness to go above and beyond.I am a regular customer at DJ’s in Burwood, if this incident wasn’t handled as professionally as it was, I may have very well stopped shopping in your store altogether.Congratulations on your excellent customer service focus and I wish Kelly and Harsh all the very bestKind regardsDenise

Bought a Veronica Maine dress on a further 20% discount however the lady at the checkout did not apply the discount saying the ticketed discount was the right price. Thanks to the Veronica Maine store two doors down who enlightened me and I had to return to claim the discount.

1 star to be able to write this review otherwise it would be minus -Like so many hundreds of your previous reviews, can I walk into David Jones Burwood without encountering the highest of rudeness, difficulty, hostility from their staff? It appears not, I only needed to make a payment on my David Jones Card like so many times before unfortunately it always has to be an unpleasant experience, this Chinese staff member from the fragrance department was rude, attempted to snap my own card out of my hand when I was about to swipe it and she was repeatedly tapping her nails on the glass counter when I was in the process of entering my pin number.This behaviour is completely uncalled for and is only a reflection of her character being narcissistic (it was evident she thinks of herself as far superior than a paying customer), highly anxious, extremely impatient, rude and completely obnoxious for no reason at all and a reflection of David Jones Burwood Customer Service and how it's gone to the dogs. Did I mention, the store was completely empty!!!!Staff like that should be fired on the spot. ABSOLUTELY DEPLORABLE!!

Horrible customer service. The staff are incredibly impolite. When I went into the makeup and perfume department the staff didn’t want to talk to me it seemed like I was an inconvenience to them and when trying to ask a question to one of the staff members, she abruptly interrupted me halfway through my sentence. She was chewing gum whilst talking to me. This is pathetic customer service. Do better.

I hate coming to this David Jones the staff are very unhelpful and are too busy having conversations with each other about their personal lives and boyfriends. I was served by this young girl Martina and a lovely lady Angie in mens when I was trying to buy a suit Angie has so much knowledge and was helpful while the other one was just not bothered and was more concerned about looking at herself in the mirror. Thanks to Angie but the rest need to get their priorities straight.

Horrible customer service! The staff’s name is Martina, she was very rude and impolite. I was looking at a jumper in GANT’s menswear and asked her for help but she was on her phone the whole time. I asked if she could show me a similar jumper in other brands and she was just annoyed the whole time & gave me an angry attitude. I told her she had very poor service and she said “ok I will get another girl to help you, I am too busy.” I wish I could give 0 stars, I am never going to this store again.

I went in to purchase some items. I was checking out some kettles and toasters. I was in this department about 5 mins, the staff seemed disinterested. It wasn't busy at all, not many people in this area of the store. Then another guy came and stood behind me looking and some items. The staff member then came over asked the guy if he needed help, when told no the staff member walked away and didn't even ask me, and I had been there longer.I then left and went to another store which had some kettles and toasters on special too. I then returned to David Jones and again stood there looking at these items. After another 5 to 10 minutes the same staff member in the same empty section came over and asked if I needed help.I asked if he had more stock of the toaster and kettle I was interested in. First without checking the computer he told me he had one and not the other. Then he went and checked the computer and said he had one of each, but was probably out the back. I asked if it was probably in the box on the shelf, he then had a look.After all that, the last ones he had left were actually the display models. I checked them out and were in good condition. I took them, they gave me a further discount due to them being displays, which they didn't tell me about until they handed me the receipt.It could have been a quicker and easier experience, but that seems to be customer service these days in big stores like this. Maybe they get paid to much to actually serve their customers. I work in retail too, but wouldn't have my customers waiting around that long before saying anything to them.

Amazing service from Domenica.I must admit the service at DJ Burwood has not been fantastic for some time but yesterday I received 5 start service. I was shopping for bras which is something I generally really dislike doing as I have never found a comfortable bra that also looks nice. Domenica saw me trying several bras and gave me some suggestions as I was struggling and was ready to leave. I walked out with 3 bras that she personally made sure fit correctly and she also educated me on how a bra should fit. At one stage the store was 15 minutes from closing and she assured me not to stress as we still had time and we will find the right bra.Thank you Domenica you are an absolute star with great patience. It’s the first time in my life that I have found the perfect bra.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
