Crikey! What a great find. This pub's food is fantastic. The menu has variety and covers most dietary requirements. There are fish dishes, meat dishes, vegan options and even serves pie and mash. A dish that I rarely see on menus now. Although I didn't have the latter dish, my mate, who is a pie connoisseur, did dabble and assured me it was worth it. Equally, the lamb dish I tried was a good size and packed full of discernable flavours. The venue was large and had plenty of areas to dine, along with the traditional bar area to drink at. The staff were pleasant and table service was quick. All-in-all The Lord Anson served up a wonderful experience at a reasonable cost.

Asked for a medium rare steak with veggies and mash. Came out dried, the meal looked as if they had a wrong order and the kitchen reheated it in the microwave. The steak was dried and so cooked that there was no juice on the plate. This is disgraceful as who ever thought that the diner is dumb enough to swallow such rubbish.

Jazz festival was planned well in advance. venu was understaffed and food took over an hour and was only lukewarm.

LOVE Triva on Thursdays! Even just great to visit any day of the week really. Great atmosphere like the music and decor is amazing and the staff are always friendly.If I could give 10 stars I would.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was amazing, and portion sizes more than adequate for the price. Great selection of craft beers both on tap and bottles. Definitely a new favourite.

Good craft beer selection on tap. Two pool tables. Pub grub available. Plenty of nooks to have a quite drink. It's not too busy on a Friday night.
