Melbourne Flames Dragon Boat Club
The sport itself is very addictive (I've been doing this since 2005) and it will keep you coming back. The amazingly awesome people who form this club are just an added bonus. If your looking for an exciting new sport to try then there is no other club I'd recommend more then this to help you get started. From humble beginnings this club can take you all the way to the national team if you so desire as we have the national coach with us. The close knit family environment makes you feel welcome and part of something bigger then you'll initially think.

Melbourne Flames is one of the best clubs in the world. I’ve been paddling with Flames for two seasons and become a dragon boat addict. The teamwork connects me with others and help me make friends easily. As a newcomer to Melbourne, it’s a good way to know people, travel around, keep fit and know a better yourself.

Found the Flames dragon boat club last Nov (2017) and have been hooked ever since. Awesome club to be a part of! Has been a great challenge physically and mentally keeping up with some really strong paddlers who give you a go no matter what your level of experience. Welcoming and encouraging culture and great coaching team helping you to be your best in a friendly and social environment.Can’t recommend highly enough:)

Fantastic support from the beginning with encouraging coaches and free introductory sessions. So much fun to be had on and off the water with a great bunch of people, go check it out, you won’t regret it :)

I joined the flames in July 2017 and have enjoyed every minute of being a part of this family. They are very welcoming! The coaches and other team members are all very supportive and adrenaline I feel in the boat keeps me coming back for more!!

Awesome fun paddling with these guys. They are super friendly and the sport itself is a full workout!The team gym sessions have a relaxed atmosphere but is also very challenging (a lot of the exercises are strength building related).I'd recommend Melbourne Flames for anyone keen to get fit and looking for a highly competitive club with a friendly positive vibe!
