Tile Library

I do mosaics and always pop into The Tile Library when I’m in Perth.There is a mosaic corner set up with a large range ceramic and glass tiles.The ceramic tiles come in a large colour range and I’ve found some lovely tiles there. Well worth a visit but as previous posts say, it’s not open on Fridays and the website needs to be updated.

OK, so here’s the place to find old tile. Pilkingtons tile for a 1947 house? No problem. Back in a minute - here it is 6x6”! Amazing place. I was expecting to wait a week. No, less than 5 mins. Who cares what it costs, they actually have the specific 70+ year old tile!! Go there, it will blow your mind!

So great that this place exists. We found some random tiles that we needed to repair our pool. They were very helpful and we have the perfect match. Thank you!

What a ya beauty place. Super fast and accurate, walked in, proffered a few chips and away the owner went into the sprawling mini metropolis of pretty porcelain to lay his hand directly on the exactly matching masonry. The wet-areas of this man’s memory palace must be a immaculate. I’d give extra stars for Alfie the hound if doable. Thanks very much.

Very unhappy.... What a RUDE BUSINESS to not update their website regarding being CLOSED on FRIDAYS. As they are also not open on weekends we had to take a day off work only to arrive to a closed door!! The website says open Friday 9am - 5pm , surely tile library is aware of this!! I didn't think it necessary to call and check, just assumed the info on their website is correct. The tatty old sign at the door saying closed Friday's indicates that it's been this way for a long time, so why not bother to update the website, it's the easiest thing to do. You clearly don't care that there are customers possibly driving from far away only to arrive at a business that is in fact closed. Is this business so spoilt it can survive on operating 4 workdays a week with the wrong info on the website!? I have wasted an entire day and not earned my wage for the day thanks to this business not caring!! Surely I'm not the only person that arrived to closed doors today!! Wake up and update your website!!!

Among the chaos might be the tile you're looking for. These guys know their store but finding your tile means bringing a sample - they don't entertain looking at photos on your phone. Also, wear a mask - I think they'll appreciate it.

I didn't have a sample but had a printed picture from my mobile's photo. The young guy came up with a sample that looked pretty good so I bought the 10 I needed. When I installed them I don't think I could have done any better even if I had an actual sample. Well done guys :)
