Darling River Motel

We had a last minute booking when we were passing through town. The manager was super accommodating and dropped the price for us and was incredibly personable and lovely. We stayed in the family room which was great and had enough room for me hubby and 2 young kids. Everything you could need. Made the whole process so easy! Definitely recommend

Great motel for Bourke where I have stayed at a few. By far the best! Clean room, electric blankets, massive bathroom and TV in the room. Had a BBQ outside where we cooked dinner. As a group of riders heading west it was an oasis in the bush! Thanks for the stay.

We went to another hotel in Bourke with the highest rating, the manager was so arrogant and rude.He would not let me see the room unless I book it. Just for asking to see the room before booking it, he just told me to go somewhere else.That is when I tried this motel and was so impressed by the service and the room.We had the executive room with the spa and we enjoyed our time and had a great break.I strongly recommend not wasting your time checking the other hotel unless you like to deal with weird manager

We needed to stay due to a problem with our car. Steve, the manager, went out of his way to help us find a way to travel home to Mackay. He even stored some baggage for us as we could not take all of it on the plane home. Thank you Steve for all your assistance. Our room was clean and tidy with all you could want in a hotel room. As a result of the standard of service we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

We made a last minute booking for a family room. The room was huge. It had a full kitchen, large dining table and a huge TV. Beds were really comfortable and it was just an overall comfortable place to stay for the night. We used the free washing machine and dryer in the morning before leaving. Recommend staying and would stay again.

This place is a little out of town which is good if you want a quiet night. The guy on hospitality from the staff was amazing. I showed up late at night in a truck and was in dire need of a beer. The manager went out of his way to drive me up the road to the drive though bottle shop. What a legend!! Thank you!

Booked the accessible room three and half weeks in advance for $150.00.But when arrived the room was not available and a non accessible room was offered and taken. Was told Bourke was fully booked as there was a rally in town. Got charged $160. Hardly any cars used the motel that night. So where was the rally?Could not have a shower as no hand rails installed.Motel staff couldn’t care less. Don’t recommend..John. Orange, NSW.

Very clean tidy motel for its age.Steven the Manager is extremely friendly, reliable, informative and a wealth of knowledge and only to happy to assist us at any time.Ensure you keep your car doors locked, and hotel room locked at all times due to young kids running around getting up to mischief!Laundry facilities also with a dryer and washing powder is supplied for guests for no charge.We slept like logs and found the mattress quite comfortableLocal bowls club has a great Chinese restaurant very much traditionally Hong Kong style food, delicious.Not many venues to choose from at all.The bakery is a hive of activity of a morning down the street
