Ponyland / Yarra Valley Trails

Had an excellent ride with Glen and Charlie, around the paddocks and through the forest filled with butterflies and kangaroos. Glen gave great advice on how to trot for a novice rider. Highly recommend!

We had an absolute ball riding Archie and Beau, under the watchful eye of Glen. We opted to get acquainted with our horses before the trail ride which we’re so glad we did. We got to brush the horses, help saddle them up for our ride, and spend some quality time learning the basics and how to navigate the horses. Glen was great, very encouraging and helped us feel very comfortable and at ease whilst riding. It was great sharing some stories and laughs on the ride. The trail was perfect for beginners - a few small jumps, a chance to trot, and a few sml hills to go up and down. Got to see some of the beautiful wildlife - lots of kangaroos, a deer, and wander through the most beautiful bushland. We are already wanting to book another ride and cant wait to come back. Best riding experience by far, Glenn had given us a personalised and detailed run down and introduce us Tess and Archie , they are very calm and gentle horses, the ride is relaxed and you get to enjoy the view and see wild animals greeting you on your way. Also note that both horses are very clean and look well looked after. You definitely in good hands, will return for sure

Such a great trail ride - absolutely beautiful property, lovely people and lovely wonderful horses. Saw some kangaroos out on the ride, enjoyed a beautiful walk and trot really great could not recommend it more ☺️ Awesome thing to do if you’re spending a day out at the wineries!

Our first backhorse riding with Glen from Yarra Valley Trails was wonderful and enjoyable. The trail that we took was spectacular! Glen is so passionate and given our first time riding, he gave a lot of good tips and made us feel at ease riding. The fee was reasonable and definitely worth the experience that we have got! Will come back for more rides in the future!

My daughter has been attending camps and day programs at Ponyland since she was 7 years old and she is now 18! Wonderful place to switch off, get back to nature and experience something different. Cannot recommend any more highly!

Ive been here multiple time and have ridden archie the chestnut horse hes wonderful,this place is on top,they take care of their horses really well and will check up on you while on the ride.

Beautifully cared for and genuinely quiet horses. Lovely property and owners. Knowledgeable and professional, very safety conscious. My daughter loved it and felt very safe at all times, lots of guidance given during the ride but given the chance to trot and canter as well. Thank you Glen and Charli.
