Lawpath are a dishonest and untrustworthy company. They advise the first document is free, but then try to charge you for it after entering all the details. I'll be sticking with my current legal document provider. They are more expensive but at least they are honest and respectful of my time.

I am very happy with Lawpath. It makes my life easy. I can easily register my company in 30 mins and get all the documents done. Besides, customer service in Lawpath is quite good. Shortly after I registered my company, I got a call from Lawpath and they reminded me all the things I need to pay attention to after I registered company.

I have really appreciated the support and help from Dehan at Lawpath. He really made it very clear what there is on offer and made my decision in trusting this platform very easy. He was willing to answer any of my questions and was extremely patient with my timeline and waiting for it to fit in with my timing. I would highly recommend Lawpath and speaking to Dehan for any questions you have.

I didn’t like the platform due to formatting and other constraints. I created a document and to download the document, I had to pay a one-year subscription fee and I paid the fee. When I downloaded the document, it was not in the format I was expecting. I immediately wrote to the support team and the next day (26/05/2023) I spoke with them, they agreed to the platform limitations but were not ready to refund the money, he said he can refund 17% of what I had paid, and I can keep the subscription for a year. I see this as a trap to force the customer, as you would know that Platform is not capable and won't refund.

I needed to write this review from the perspective I was told it would improve contract workflow for my business and the overall customer service picture for my clients. Overall, the service was fairly good value, the lawyer review service was indeed very handy and having access to all the relevant documents I need to run my business. The biggest lack in this service was the user interface in setting up and modifying a contract, the document editor is the clunkiest text editor I have ever used. It has next to no formatting options, text or font adjustment and no ability to spell or grammar check. Once I placed the text in an editor for the service I use now, it was riddled with mistakes. Also having to manually create a customer and drag and drop the numerous fields I needed in the document made the document setup time way too long. It was costing me more admin time when it was supposed to save me time.I also got client feedback that their end was clunky and not mobile friendly reducing the quality of my client experience. I found the templates very generic (like they were coined from a basic set of templates from cheap resource elsewhere), the language not very Australianised and for my industry not even close to what it is common practice. When it came to cancelling the service, Lawpath made it very difficult to do so. They actually charged me for another month despite cancelling. When you would call, no one would answer and you'd leave a message. No one called back. Then you would get on live chat and the chat said to email your problem. Then you'd get a canned email to say it will take 7 days to respond. Then someone (a rep to try to get you to not cancel) and I missed the call so there was several days of trying to call back. I all it took three weeks to resolve the issue. They need to focus on a better quality text editor, more relevant templates based on industry (can't speak for others outside of mine), a better UI on the client end and some better customer service for account issues.

I was charged for a subscription I didn’t intend to renew just because it automatically sets up as an auto renew. Surely companies who care about their customers should advise them when an auto renew it about to occur. When I called the next day and explain I no longer needed these services, they appeared inflexible and unwilling to help, said there was nothing they can do except cancel the auto renew for the following year.

I think this is my last year with lawpath - I'd rather pay more for a better experience tbh. I primarily use the document/signing tools - my clients get so tripped up on this experience. So many simple fixes and I've provided feedback - it's shockingly easy to fix. If a tech platform you pay hundreds of dollars for each year can't get this stuff right. I'd also like to give myself a 2-star rating for hanging on hoping things will get better. Just seeing out the rest of the contract and switch.

Having engaged LawPath in an attempt to receive a refund without success, I am leaving my comments here for the information of others so that they can be spared the same experience in dealing with Lawpath. I note that there are other customers who have left similar reviews about their conduct and their covert auto-renew process for the privilege of accessing their website and for a service they call the Essentials Package. Beware of this service and its cost as it is simply access to a website that holds templates for documents that purport to be legal templates for use in business. A review of these documents reveals open-source templates available elsewhere on the web for free. Like others who have commented on this site, I was caught out by their deceptive spam marketing emails sent in the days prior to and after the so-called authorised expenditure email which was hidden as a notification in an email (confused by me as another spam email) billing me $348. They use the credit card details that you provided when you first used their services to create a company. Be very careful of this hidden claim authorising the use of your credit card. Once I received the advice that they had taken funds from my account, I notified them the same day advising that the payment was not authorised and requesting a refund. I also advised them that I had not accessed their website for over 2-years and not used any of their templates during that time. They have since refused a refund after I have twice tried to reason with them about their conduct.Invoice Number : Invoice number: 408035383
