If there was a 1/4 Star Rating then that would be GENEROUS.I am just back from spending 4nights at your Craigs Royal Hotel Ballarat. I was so looking forward to this stay as I was travelling from Sydney doing 10days worth of family history research.After making the reservation and giving my email address to Grace, I waited for a confirmation email. As I needed to put various Vic locations together in an itinerary, by day 9 I called asked if I could have a confirmation email.I was given the run around but took note of the names of everyone that I was passed along to.My email address had been taken incorrectly. I corrected the mistake and again asked for a email confirmation of the dates of my booking.Again Nothing.It took 4 phone calls to finally received an email confirmation. An argument endured by my 4th phone call to Grace who said she was very busy atm with a restaurant full of people. She would 'Try' to get me one by the following day.Upon check in which I stood at the front desk for 20minutes being ignored as everyone was 'Chatting' to each other in the bar area. When I finally got someone's attention they then had to search for someone higher manager to assist.I mentioned to Sue behind the desk, that my AMEX had been billed and this was not:A) Advised that this would be debited.B) I Advised 'At the time of the reservation' that I was wanting to pay in full by using an Eftpos gift card.C) Sue advised me that being billed 'Before' check out is not the way they normally operate.D) I asked Sue to reverse the debit so I could pay by my Eftpos card. No Can Do. I had to wait till Grace arrived the following morning and 'I needed to speak to her'. ( Sue could not start the process I needed to spend more time personally, on this issue !!)Finally spoke with Grace who said she needed to 'Send off a request to Head office'.By Day 5 Grace Never came back to me. The Charge remained.Graces response was She had debited my AMEX as I was insistent I get an 'Invoice " I said a Confirmation is NOT an Invoice nor is it authority to debit in full

This company has ruined all 3 pubs in Moonta. Removing the kitchen from one, which produced the best meals out of the 2 remaining open kitchens. Stopped the complimentary booze buses. Closed one of the Bottle-O’s. And have generally turned all 3 pubs into gambling central with no country atmosphere. Don’t bother visit any of their premises, they have let their profit margins go to their heads.

Absolutely hopeless.I still haven't heard anything good about this mob.And WHY oh WHY did they have to move into SA, surely they could have gone somewhere else, anywhere other than here :-(

Moved into our country town a few months ago own all 3pubs shut down a bottle shop at one got rid off the booze busses now shut another kitchen at another pub don’t support the local country people how do you expect us to support your business do you know how to run a country hotel wake up you will not survive on tourist only

This group has wrecked Elgins Wodonga.Once a full house every Friday night before this poor excuse for a company took over has now been reduced to 1 person in the sports bar before they close while the suns out.

Shamrock Hotel BendigoWhat have you done to a once great pub?Meals arrived wrong - twice - and so late it would have been quicker to go buy the ingredients and cook it ourselves. The forgotten fried mushrooms arrived slightly charred on the outside and raw in the middle. Staff were either stoned and ambivalent or frantic and trying to save the sinking ship. Was wondering why it was filled with tourists and no locals. Now I know. Serving sizes really small now too

What is wrong with your organisation. You took over the Commercial Hotel in Camperdown on the 1st of August. Closed the Bottleshop, so you lost the tradies. No takeaway meals, no takeaway pizza...so lost all the people who need a quick meal. No lunch Monday to Wednesday. Once again lost the tradies. No dinners Monday and Tuesday. We often called in on Monday for dinner. Lost the regular Wednesday cricket club attendance, because your meals were awful. We tried our regular Friday night dinner. The first night three of five meals were returned to the kitchen for a retry. Last week was marginally better. Menu tiny. Choice of about 5 different chicken dishes and little else. Garlic bread was a baguette that I could get at Woolies anytime. This is not a reflection on the staff. This is a reflection on the management. The Madden family ran a successful country, family and community pub for 56 years and in 20 days you have ruined it. I do feel that the people have been boycotting the pub from the minute you took over, you would know from your takings that you are doing something wrong......so you would think that you would work on solving your issues. You could do that by becoming part of the community. There is no new signage. Nothing announcing that the Hotel is under new management. All the signs are still on the outside. Takeaway menu is still up. What is wrong with you? Profits before people? You have made a huge mistake. Oh and I forgot to mention that the kitchen at what was a successful country pub is now closed after 20 days of operation under Black Rhino. But it is ok the other two pubs in town are laughing.....I know one of them is averaging 100 meals on a Tuesday night...not bad for a country pub
