Paid $9 for a steak sandwich that consisted of a wafer thin piece of grissly steak, a sprinkle of onions and bbq sauce. Hmmm should have ordered a burger, it was cheaper and might have actually had something on it.Meals took ages to come and counterparts crumbed steak was so overcooked, he'll probably need to visit the dentist.

Like the other reviews here, staff seem quiet rude and judgmental. The lady that is. Been here twice and both times the same rudeness. Not sure if it’s because she works an underpaid job or because she has to clean toilets for a living but I won’t be coming back.. not hard to be nice.

I'm an interstate truck driver and for years been stopping here regularly. Been about 6 months since I have been this way however and I always used to think the steak sandwich with the lot was amazing for the price and had so much in it.This time it was pitiful.I don't know whether the ingredients for a plain steak sandwich or the one with the lot changed but I ordered the lot and all I got was a thin steak, BBQ sauce, onion, lettuce,tomato and cheese that's it.Last time here I had all that plus egg, bacon, beetroot, pineapple, and a solid steak.Anyhow I hope it can be better next time I come it's never been this poor in quality or quantity.Thanks.

Alright for servo food but customer service needs some attention. Maybe they were having a bad day who knows.

Service was pour attitude was appauling food charged me full price for my meal then said arfta i paid they had no chops steak was cooked that tough i need to go visit the dentist i dnt recommend visitn dis place

I've called in for a meal at night several times this year, and 80% of the time the staff were somewhat bad tempered, so I only give it 2 stars. Meals weren't that good either when I was there.Edit: May 2022. Much improved from first review. Clean shower and decent food. 4 stars now.

Highly recommend stopping here for a meal.Friday night had crumbed steak, chips, veges & gravy was so good went back Saturday night and had chicken schnitzel, chips, salad & gravy. Oh yummmmm.Young fellow on counter was very pleasant and the lady cooking was very friendly and accommodatingGood foodGood serviceReasonable prices

Absolute rubbish service and iv worked in a similar BP setup in a far busier town. Staff attitude in the place was appalling. Two of the women having some sort of power play episode while in the middle of serving a huge line of customers. The woman serving me wasn't even listening to what I was ordering and gave me the wrong items and then acted like it was our fault (she was too busy bickering with the other lady). I made this my regular stop on the way to and from the coast to Mount Isa, Not anymore.

Just called into servo to get some tea..sign on the counter says meal can be ordered until 8.30pm every night, it's 6pm on a Saturday..Tried to order 2 meals was told by a rather rude older lady that the kitchen closes at 5.30 and the cook is cleaning the kitchen..when I said the sign says 8.30 she just responds with oh well it closes at 5.30 ICan cook you some chips,but I'm serving as well so they might take a awhile.. not real impressed seeing as sign says 8.30,but ok we will have 2 sausage rolls out of warmer, No can't have them either they should have been taken out of warmer at 5...Needless to say I would not recommend this servo to anyone travelling thru Blackall..Even a local told us to go elsewhere..
