I applied for a role, on the phone I asked the recruiter the name of the potential employer as I was concerned about crossover with other agents and / or if I applied directly to this potential employer, in which case there would be no point in working with RedDot. RedDot refused to tell me on the phone the name of the employer, and asked me to go to the city for an interview with RedDot. I took a whole day off and travelled to the city for the interview, and found out immediately in the interview that the potential employer was a business that I already applied directly to, so RedDot couldn't represent me.Thanks for wasting my time, this is a very dumb recruiter as smarter recruiters would be more considerate of jobseekers' time and actually check if candidates have already applied to the clients that the recruiters are representingUPDATE : the owner claims that I'm mistaken as they're not located in the city. Just to clarify, this was in the past when RedDot was located in the city, now they've relocated. I'm most certainly not mistaken, I am criticising the correct recruiter
