Prouds the Jewellers Top Ryde

Will never go to this store again. Very unfriendly and rude staff. The young woman in the store was very rude when my wife went to get a refund on a faulty silver bracelet. The bracelet lock was faulty and once you put it on your wrist, you would have to struggle to unlock and open it. I COULD NOT unlock it either once she put that on. Finally, with 10 minutes effort, I could unlock it by hurting my finger. when she went back to store to get a refund ( as store policy for faulty items), the woman in the shop refused to do so even though she was also struggling to unlock it once she put that on her wrist. She kept saying that this was for the safety of this jewellery so that it would not open and fall off your wrist accidentally and that it was not a fault. That was very funny explanation I have ever heard in my life after buying many many more expensive gold bracelets, necklaces, etc. For a $59 silver bracelet, that was the funniest thing I have ever heard. You are supposed to open it easily after use, this does not mean insecurity. I am sure this bracelet's lock will break when the next unfortunate buyer tries to open it for the 2nd or 3rd times. Very very disappointed and we will never go back to this store by any means.

I didn’t read the reviews prior to my visit - and I’m glad I didn’t. I walked right in, had a walk about the store and the moment I saw something I liked a nice lady came up to me and gave me undivided attention. She took her time to ask for my requests and give me several options to try on. In the end, I made a happy purchase at a good price. She was lovely. To be fair, it was roughly 10AM on a Saturday so maybe I just got lucky? Either way I’m happy with the service, product, and price.

Store was busy. 3 people were serving customers and 1 came and told us that she will be with us soon which was understandable. A grumpy looking old lady who were serving other person came to us and my wife said hi to her. She didnot even bother ro respond and quickly went to other side of the shop. Then looked at me and started serving a customer who came in after us. I was there to buy somthing for my newborn niece. That grumpy looking rude old lady made my day.

Wide range of jewellery for fair prices. Staff are helpful and attentive when questions are asked, very good at helping you pick out the perfect gift / item for yourself.Located on the second floor of Topryde around a few other jewellery stores so its easy to get to too!

Bad experience, staff did not explain that Prouds DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS..I purchased goods and requested a same day refund, only to be told by unhelpful staff that refund is NOT POSSIBLE on ANY GOODS.. This should have been ADVISED at time of sale!!!!! Very unprofessional!I won’t be back.. be careful of this store very underhanded salesI will be following up with ACCC…

I bought earrings twice recently. The first pair $180 bent the first time I tried to put them on. No refund, just a credit. The second pair were faulty. No refund. The jewellery is bad quality. Used to be quite good. I will never shop at Prouds again.

Walked into the store in hope of exchanging a diamond pendant that I had gotten for Christmas. I was hoping to exchange it because one of the diamonds had fallen out. I had only had the neckalace for 2 days, unbelievable. The store was empty and there were two ladies at the counter going through jewellery. Not one of the ladies acknowledge that my mother and I were there. My mother acknowledged the ladies and neither of them stopped what they were doing to help us at all. Clearly stock is more important then helping their customers. Walked out of the store and walked straight into Michael hill and was greeted by all three of the staff. Exceptional service from the Michael hill team. I should have known to go to Michael hill in the first place.

Got served by Natalie today and she was so amazing. Let us take our time and went around looking for other products on discount similar to the one I was after. I loved her customer service! Did not feel rushed and was a very happy customer!

I had my white gold wedding ring resized. They used yellow gold. Rhodium plating came off to reveal completely different colour gold used. I returned it, they gave me back a ring that was not round and had a lump where the join had been made. They refused to repair it, and wanted me to go elsewhere. No explanation of how it could have been done so shoddily, using a cheaper gold and hoping I wouldn’t notice.Worst service and appalling craftsmanship. Never take your prized passions here.

Rude Asian lady, patronising customers by pointing both hands at her face mask, as if addressing a 3 year old - asked someone if they needed a mask.In front of the whole store.At the top of her voice.Fairly sure that the customer - who was with someone wearing a mask had a good reason not to wear one herself.Considering the store was almost empty you'd think she would be trying to make a sale.What a way to drive customers away!Some customer service training needed there.
