Excellent location, with shops, transport and the beach on your doorstep. Very basic rooms, but clean and the beds were reasonable. Couch was well past its use-by-date. Unusual late check-in process which I found disturbing, asked to text a photo of my licence and credit card before they would give me check-in details. I had prepaid, so credit card details should have been on the system. Also disturbing to be requested through a mobile number that was not listed against the business... felt very dodgy. No information about how they would dispose of my information safely after my stay either! Check light rail nightworks outside the hotel before booking!

I made an online reservation for this hostel before 10 pm, and arrived there before 10 pm. However, no one was at the reception desk, and despite having paid and reserved in advance, we were unable to stay there. We had to hurriedly search for another place to stay that night, which was very unpleasant. Later, I contacted the hostel to request a refund since we couldn't use the reservation, and they said they would refund me. However, even after a week had passed, I still hadn't received the refund, so I contacted them again. They told me that the refund would be transferred within a week, but I no longer trust them. Not recommended.

Tried to cut trip short n cancel 2nd last day because of family emergency, wouldn't refund us 1 night. Terrible hosts. Bed was horrible n looked 20yrs old.

If I could do 0 stars I would. Two month after our stay we still have not received our bond back. Even after multiple attempts at contacting and even going back nothing has been resolved. Straight as you walk through the door you are confronted with a massive stain on the floor. Would not recommend at all!

The room in the basement is not comfortable and super dark. The heater is not working. Renovation necessary. Staff is not super friendly and one cannot use the public toilet after check-out.

It was very clean. Expensive for what you get but it was during peak trading. Parking is an issue. They have carparks however, fitting your car in safely is another thing.

The managers/owners are wonderful and personal. The rooms are good and very clean despite age of motel. Quiet and close to everything. Stayed here many times. Price excellent considering some ridiculous prices on Goldie. Always enjoy my stay. Room 10 a winner.

Rooms are very clean and the staff very friendly, the price is a little high for the location.

Floor had stains. The bathroom had used towels and hair on the floor. Very poor quality room

We needed a bed and it’s not too bad except the room had a disgusting stench of cigarette smoke that didn’t go away. I’ll book at the Montego next time
