My husband and I came here today when our car had a flat tyre, which then turned out to be a damaged rim- and everyone at this garage was so friendly and incredibly helpful, and helped us much as possible to get our car sorted so we can continue on our road trip! They checked our tyre & put on our spare & didn’t charge us anything which was so generous! Can’t recommend them highly enough!

From the moment I contacted Steering Brake and Clutch this morning and spoke to Danielle on the front desk to book the car in to have investigated a possible brake fluid leak, I was treated to cheerful, helpful, professional service. Turned out to be a false alarm, the 2 mechanics refused to accept payment of any sort, describing the 15 to 20 minutes examination of the issue as a driveway assessment"

Wow! These guys know what they're doing, charge the right price, and smile! Had a noise in my steering which other mechanics diagnosed in all sorts of expensive ways. These guy's listened and knew exactly what it was. I had a ferry to catch, so they got me in the next morning. Drove me to town without being asked to do so. Fixed the problem, then came and picked me up. They charged me an honest price for the work they did, and gave me a comprehensive list of things they didn't have time to do. I wish these guys were my local garage!!!!!!!!!!!! Find an excuse to break down! It will add one more happy thing to your Tasmania experience!

Had problems with our motorhome when we first arrived in Tassie .Called into Steering Brake and Clutch at Cooee. We were given priority and the problem was located and faulty part replaced. The work was completed by professional friendly staff and the cost of the repairs were more than fair and reasonable I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone requiring mechanical repairs. Sincere thanks to all the staff and we really appreciated your help

On the off chance I called them to buy sway bar bushes for my old coaster. They had none in stock but sourced them from one of their suppliers in no time. Extremely friendly & helpful service.
