Awesome food and service - staff are very friendly and atmosphere is great. Restaurant is nice and open perfect for warm weather dining at night.We ordered for 4 people (very full afterwards):Chips and Guac (corn chips + guacamole was very fresh and house made), seared scallops, prawn taco (prawns were very big and juicy), Jicama and Walnut Salad (very refreshing and tasty salad), the Agave Ribs (very big portion - only disappointing part was that there was only 3 corn tortillas) + the chilli and lime crickets (interesting flavour and can't really taste the crickets - sort of like a salty/crunchy mince).

It was my first time at this Mexican Restaurant. It was for my wedding anniversary and I must say that I got very impressed with the quality and tasty food. It was beyond my expectations. We had a 5 course meal tasting and the dishes were so well presented and tasty that it completed change my mind about Mexican Food in a good way. All the flavours mixed in such way that made a perfect balance. You can't miss this amazing Alma Restaurant at Avalon Beach. I don't have enough words to describe it. And what about the staff??? Simply unsurpassed!! Really friendly staff. The atmosphere and decoration invites to enjoy this great experience. Very well located at the heart of Avalon Beach. Opens till late. I will definitely come back again soon.

Headed in for a relax lunch, the waiter was friendly and helpful. The fireplace inside was great.Dishes wise I have to say not as good as I expected given almost 30-40 dollars for a main. Although the starter - chips with dipping source was great.Give it a try and taste it yourself.

Has significantly declined since our last visit a couple of years ago. Portion sizes much much smaller, some of the best dishes off the menu, completely different experience to the amazing restaurant we visited time. Went for a birthday dinner and won't be going back :(

I really liked this Mexican restaurant. It's not just your typical taco and burrito place, it actually has some nice, authentic Mexican food to try. The atmosphere was nice and clean. Food was delicious, our favourite was the sashimi soft shell taco (entree). Able to accommodate us without booking on a weekend lunch which was lucky because it's not a massive space. Overall, pleasant experience and would go again.

Absolutely amazing food! Portions were surprisingly filling, although we did order extra as I had read prior reviews just to be safe! Loved the tacos and the potatoes. They tasted so good. The strawberry dessert was amazing too! Will definitely be back.

We have dined here several times this year when allowed, lockdown sucks! Love the fun atmosphere, amazing owner & staff. The food is always fab & fun tapas to share if you like. Recommend to anyone visiting the area.

The food here is delicious, it really brings together a great combination of flavours. Very different to your usual Mexican restaurant. That being said; it is a bit fancy shmancy so don't expect large portions, everything is on the S to XS side of sizes. The cocktails are lovely even the non-alcoholic ones. The staff are friendly and normal, service is good, but nothing special. The atmosphere in the outdoor seating area is bustling, it seems nobody wants to sit inside. They are pet friendly which is great for people with dogs. Don't bring your cat, because cats aren't good pets.
