Scott Harding is a top bloke. Super understanding, helpful and professional. Went out of his way to secure me a good deal on a Friday arvo. I have all my business and vehicle insurance through these guy. You just cannot fault these guys

My insurance needs were a little different to what most of the main providers could offer, but thankfully they referred me to Shielded Insurance. Mitch called and took me through the process in a professional and totally low pressure way. Patiently answered all my questions and got me the absolute best price for what I needed (and trust me, I really shopped around in the days prior). Definitely happy with the service and the price. Highly recommend.

Jake Bartel helped me find the right insurance at the right price. He was very professional, helpful and continues to provide us with assistance 6 months on. Highly recommend this company if you don’t fit the norm.

I dealt with Jake at Shielded and he was awesome to deal with. The whole process was effortless, quick and I got an amazing deal with Sure Insurance for my House. Last year I wasted several painful hours over a number of days speaking to people who simply didn't understand what I wanted nor had a ye where Cairns was, & all I got was an over the top expensive policy. Do not use this company!They advised us to purchase a policy with CGU.The worst mistake ever!Have an 8k claim for my tenant on a brand new build. They completely destroyed the place.Needs all new carpets, blinds and many, many coats of sealer and paint on every surface from the tenant chain smoking inside and dropping their cigarettes on all the carpets.They will not cover a cent of the damage.Stay far away from Shielded and the scam companies they sell that don't pay out on ANY claims.Really wish I read the reviews before purchasing

I just bought a home in Cairns and was shocked when insurance quotes were coming back at $6000-$8500 a year. I was feeling very confused why I couldn't alter insured building cover amounts and how difficult the process was online. Getting through to bigger insurers on the phone was impossible with long waiting times and pressure to buy cover immediately.In direct contrast to this was Jacob at Shielded Insurance Brokers. My call was answered immediately and my insurance cost was a third to a quarter of what the larger companies were offering. Jacob gave me a bespoke quote and talked me through inclusions so I felt comfortable with the level of cover. He was professional, knowledgable and personable. I not only received excellent cover for a reasonable price but I now have his direct phone number should I wish to discuss or change any part of my insurance in the future. It's so refreshing to have personal service and a relationship with one person rather than a random call centre operator. Jacob was lovely to speak with and I was so relieved to find this insurer. Highly recommend!

Paul was extremely professional and knew exactly what I needed in all aspects of insurance. He had everything sorted and sent to me within half an hour (other places have taken weeks) and the quote was far more affordable then anywhere else. Highly recommend!

I would have been a 1-star client of Matt but he was definitely a 5 to me, if not more.I have a little complicated needs and he guided me through everything and have me answers to everything I asked. This is a new business and a new venture in my life. I learnt a lot from him.I had to change my policy like 4 or 5 times sure to confusions and complication and he helped me the best. He always say he would get back to me in about 2 hours but he never did. He was way quicker than that.I had 2 other brokers quoting me at the same time and no one can beat Matt. Especially his efficiency and professionalism. Also, it was so friendly and comfortable talking to him, I don't feel any pressure at all.I would be stupid not to stick around with him or this business in general.

Alex Ward was the most accommodating and professional, patient and compassionate customer service account manager I have dealt with in a long time. Terrible experience with Shielded Insurance. Bad customer service, does not help you compare the market and does not help you find solutions.Three weeks ago, I was quoted by a Shielded Insurance Broker to take on a policy with company A. The broker was away so his colleague Mitchell took over. After giving Mitchell the information he went to set up a policy with company B. I informed him that his colleague previously quoted me from company A and asked him to do a comparison as it was odd that he chose a different company. He did not care and came back with a quote from company B only. The quote was over $1k more than the original quote. I asked him to please do a quote with company A and was re-quoted where the amount was over $1k less. Both company policies covered for what I was requesting for. There were other nuances with this policy and they offered no help to work around the nuances, whereby other companies have provided various suggestions.I am more than happy to use and pay for broker service, however this is not one I would recommend to anyone.
