Allen has fixed every watch and clock I have taken to him. Some extremely difficult ones too. Good for just a quick check and battery change as well. Highly recommended.

I saw Mr Davey because my Skagen watch was working on and off for over a year. I had it checked before and had been told it wasn’t worth repairing. I had to see him 3 times, but he eventually succeeded and got it working.

Allen is a extraordinary watch, clock restoration man. Excellent work at reasonable prices. If you need a new battery for your watch, he can fix it. If on the other hand have a windup watch, ha can fix that too.

I have been going there regularly for many years and recently took in a clock to be repaired. A poor quality battery was inserted by the watchmaker and it leaked, damaging the clock. I took the clock back to fix the damage, and when I went to pay I mentioned the leaking battery that he had put in, whereupon he became aggressive and threatening and used abusive language including racial slurs. Do not go to this man for any repairs!He is most strongly not recommended.

Extremely quality service and very friendly. I enjoyed talking while getting my watch fixed.

Took my watch in to have the battery replaced. After handing the watch to the guy, he looked at it and said Look at this"; not sure what he meant by that. He then looked at me and said "We won't say anything about it." It was obvious then he didn't like the watch and that his comments were condescending and mocking. I was not seeking his opinion on my watch so to say what he did was just plain rude. I had been told by more than one person that this man was rude and arrogant

Dropped my clock off for repair at this business on 17/2/16 and was told that it would take approximately three weeks & that he (Allen Davey) would give me a call when it was completed.I hadn’t heard anything by 29/3 so decided to give him a call. After initially not remembering the clock he then said he hadn’t started it. I inquired as to why considering it was meant to have been completed a couple of weeks earlier. He angrily replied he didn’t want to do the job.When I asked why he didn’t mention this when I dropped it off he hung up on me. He then failed to answer my return call to arrange pick up.I’d recommend giving this business a wide berth, very rude and unprofessional.If it were an option of awarding no stars I would.

Absolutely terrible! His repair led to a $350 watch having to be thrown out. Took watch to him to have wind knob fixed. He replaced it with wrong type which was not waterproof. Sweat got into watch leading to its ruination.Took it back to ask him if he would reconsider suggestion it was a throw away and he was just plain rude, accusing me of breaking the inner wheels. A most unpleasant, rude and hopeless watch repairer.

What lovely, honest people. Mr Davey replaced a battery in an Omega watch and I was going to leave it for a service. He smiled and told me it was not necessary and explained why the watch works so well before needing one. We will definitely be repeat customers. Thank you.

If there were less stars to give a review I would use it as an option.By far the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Allen Davey was arrogant, ill tempered, and extremely condescending to my wife. This type of behaviour seemed as if it would apply to the majority of female customers.Aside from that, terrible clock/watch maker...couldn't even fix a simple issue with our clockWouldn't recommend to my worst enemy, and wouldn't go here again! Save yourself the stress and don't even bother walking in that door!
