So exciting to see the founders of the great can wall continually adding to the landmark! 10/10 would visit again.

As a child of 90’s England, my father would occasionally drive us from Kent to Highgate to visit his sister. Passing through Dalston he would marvel at the colourfully painted Jamaican houses and take enjoyment in their vivid technicolor… much like extravagant Christmas lights on a council house. The Great Can Wall of Moorabbin is a modern day reincarnation for Australians that all fathers should imprint on the upbringing of their offspring.

After my visit to the Great Can Wall of Moorabin my outlook on life has shifted. I feel like I have secluded myself in a remote, undiscovered Siberian cave for 15 years quenching my thirst with a water droplet from a lone stalactite every two weeks and staving off my unbearable starvation by consuming my one of my own phalanges every three years.

I walk past this art experience everyday and I have to say, it's saved my life. I now no longer yearn for the taste of the cold steel barrel of my shotgun in my mouth at night, and now wake up happy, excited, and hopeful, that I get to experience the great wall of cans every day!

I started dating the most amazing art grad student . I didnt know where to go for our first date but knew that I wanted to impress her. After finding this place online I decided to take her here after reading the reviews. I told her to dress nice, I wore a 3-piece suit. We arrived to see this masterpiece and she was in awe at first glance, so was I.. it really got us talking almost as if the view set the mood making everything come natural! It was late in the evening so the walls light display was glowing adding a romantic feel to the night. Just before we leave we shared our first kiss. This was 1 year ago today and today I can say after our second visit to the place that captured our heart.. she said YES!

This art installation has really brought Moorabbin to the forefront of the modern art scene. A true spectacular, the Great Can Wall comments on post-consumerism and reflects darkly on the self-medication that is an inevitable feature of the human condition. However, as the cans of the wall must balance delicately, so too there is balance and light to be found in this piece; look in the details for a celebration of diversity and embrace the brightness of genuine inclusivity. Ultimately an interactive and collaborative installation, this is deserving of more than a single visit and is no doubt an established feature of Melbourne’s signature art culture.

Truly an experience for the whole family. 12% Imp Stouts for Dad to the soft drinks for little Billy. It’s been a pleasure watching this grow since 2021. Hopefully the right kidney gets it’s own wall soon!*Please to allow up to 20mins in queue for peak hour viewing.*

Watching the GCW come together over the last couple of years has been amazing to watch, started small but now really something. Surely one of the greatest engineering feats to come out of Moorabbin, alongside the Immaculate Levitating Porch further down South Rd that seems to be held up purely by divine will, and the mysterious 'Gate to absolutely nowhere' in Genoa St.

This Great Can Wall of Moorabbin is more that just some cans stacked. This is a breath taking experience with a very diverse selection of cans that all tell their own story. Highly recommended for any pregnant women.

I’ve come all the way from the UK and this is such an amazing experience for me and my fiancé to see day and night. Worth every penny. I even got to meet the people behind the great can wall and they was absolute nobs but great drinkers. Respect!
