Lazy customer service! We have shopped at this store for 5 yrs as we have a beach house in Ocean Grove but Xmas eve we went in to purchase some things. Firstly tried some shorts that were too big and when I asked if I could get another size, the girl said the ones I had was all the store had! Only when I told her I knew there were more there did she then ask which brand they were and went to look. Then whilst I was still looking around the store my husband paid for the 4 items without me realising. When I noticed I told the girl we get a discount as we are on the mailing list. I asked if she could re do it, mind you there was only 1 other customer there at the time and another employee, also the manager and another register! Her response, not really as I'd have to re scan all the items!! Yes all 4 of them. Great! Well guess what? I spent longer crossing the road to go to your store and I am certainly not short of a dollar but the principle is if you cannot take 1 or 2 minutes of your time to do the RIGHT thing for loyal customers then well done because me and my family will not waste our time walking into your store again!! We will give you the same thought you gave us!!!

TLDR; Popped in for board hire the other day, excellent service and I got to meet the new owner too!Longer version: I'm pretty new to surfing and, at the time, wasn't sure what size g-board I needed as I learnt on a very different style of board. I phoned the store a day or so ahead of time and spoke to someone - possibly called Zach, sorry if I got your name wrong! Anyway, they were super helpful. They asked a few questions and took the time to chat to find out more about what I needed in a surf board. They told me the size they'd recommend and, importantly, why they recommended that size.I turned up to the store the next day and had the pleasure of meeting the new owner (Leah) who was / is really friendly and helpful. She and her husband (sorry, I can't remember your name) sorted me out for board hire and even helped me play the get a large surfboard in a small car" game.I've already recommended the store and the people who work and run it to others. Highly recommend

The staff were extremely nice and helpful, spared no time offering to help and letting me know they have more available if I can't find what I'm looking for. They have a nice collection of everything skateboard related!

Dishonest service.I was served by the business owner.I spent $290 on a gift, at the time of sale I asked if they didn’t like it, could I return it? The answer was yes(no mention of only store credit).While picking the gift he said “I can do that wetsuit for $179 for you($30 discount) and the board a bit cheaper too”. But looking at the receipt later he had only given a discount $10 altogether.On return to get the store credit I had to be signed up as a customer, the server at the time said I’ll just serve the people behind you first, so I had to wait 10minutes while they organised the hire of their boards and wetsuits. Very rude.Definitely won’t shop there again once the credit is used.
