Valley Hotel
Long time (1.5hours)to wait for our lunch. And it made us miss the bus back to Gawler. Then we spent $89 to take taxi back to Gawler. Also the food is pricey and the salad is not fresh .

Food took ages (over an hour) despite being less than 15 people in for lunch. Meals were average at best. Ended up having to get a refund for a main which was the special that arrived after everyone else has finished and was ready to leave leaving us furious. 2 stars was because the staff were friendly otherwise would have been 1. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Lovely country pub with a real country feel about it.We popped on our masks and scanned in, as we walked through the door. The guy behind the bar was very friendly and greeted us with a smile then offered a table. Only 3 other tables being used. We checked the menu and specials board.We ordered 2 Lamb roasts and a vegetable focaccia with a garlic bread. Drinks were just 2 sparkling waters and a pint of beer.Meals came out within 30 mins.The melt-in-the-mouth lamb was delicious as was the focaccia.Garlic bread was hot and amazing.We spent just over $85 for our lunches, a little steep but would have included public holiday rates.We all really enjoyed this pub. I think we will be back again soon.

Room clean a bit basic. Would be nice to have bedside lights. Ran out of hot water for my shower. Toilet cistern needs some maintenance. Not bad for a Travel Auction.

Dropped in for an impromptu lunch, staff were very friendly and service was fast, had the stone grill eye fillet with pepper gravy… IT WAS AWESOME! Meat was tender and had a magnificent flavour, ( admittedly, I am an existing fan of stone grill) price was not to bad either, with friendly staff great price and service we will definitely be back..!!

Lunchtime order for 2, served in less than 15 minutes with 2 other tables being occupied. A real beef schnitzel with mushroom gravy, chips and vegetables, all cooked to satisfaction. Compliments to the friendly staff for great customer service, shout-out to Tori and Antoinette. Would definitely consider a return visit if I am in the area again.
