Jimbour House
Had a lovely weekend attending the Opera at Jimbour festival. The JimBour House is a stunning Victorian-style building located in a small town. With a history that spans over a century, it has been a residence, a community center, a school, and even a hospital during times of war. Today, the JimBour House serves as a popular venue for weddings, events, and historical tours, offering visitors a glimpse into its fascinating past and beautiful architecture.

Went to the see and listen to the Opera, but the venue stole the show. Gracious host. Thank you, David. An awe-inspiring weekend. If you can, you must treat yourself with a visit to the Opera at Jimbour House.

Beautiful homestead and gardens, great history described in the many story boards around the buildings and through the gardens. Enjoyed a lovely morning here. Well done to the Russell Family.

Not open for tours in the house ATM. Walked around the green gardens, so much to see around the grounds. Once a grand estate with lots of land, perched on a hill to survey there holdings. Have there own landing strip and outdoor amphitheatre where many an outdoor concert has been held.

Grounds were beautiful. We were a month or so early Jacarandas, roses etc weren't out.Staff were very friendly.It was worth the drive out from Dalby.

Such a beautiful Venue, 100% worth the trip from the Gold Coast for my friends Wedding. Clean Venue with lots of beautiful even spaces.

I attended a wedding at Jimbour House over the weekend and it was incredible. The staff were so hospitable, namely Moira who made our experience so memorable! No request was too much for her, which meant the morning of the wedding was so relaxing and enjoyable for the bride. The homestead itself was beautiful and painted the perfect backdrop for a very special day - we could not fault it.

I had the pleasure of conducting a wedding at Jimbour last week and what a magic place. From the house to the gardens and just being able to take in all of the shared history. Amazing! The staff are all fantastic and so knowledgable. Go and check the property out, do the tour and explore the home and gardens.

The grounds are open for viewing 8am-4.30pm daily for a $3 entry fee in a honesty box.The grounds are gorgeous- free walking map upon entry also helps guide you around. The edible kitchen garden was closed when we were there due to drought conditions but otherwise the place is a sight to behold.Our 1 year old loved running around and finding fun things to collect like fallen leaves.Will definitely be back and will take a picnic to enjoy the grounds for a bit longer.The house is only open for special events as it is still a residence.
