American Vehicle Sales

Unfortunately from the moment we picked the car up things started falling to bits. 2 years on and we have a bucket of components that have fallen off due to faulty workmanship, broken clips and silicone/glue holding these parts on letting go. This is the dash, door handles, air con vents, woodgrain accents, the seats rattle, electrical gremlins (cooled seats dont work since conversion) and the list goes on and on. I would have loved to give you a good wrap guys but I have a $125K car that is falling to pieces its just not good enough... Of course you will say it's a fake review I still have the car and the box of parts that have fallen off it. Nothing for me to gain by writing this review I just think it's fair for the public to know what to expect.

I have been dealing with this company for over 12yrs with my 2 trucks that I brought from them 1 second hand the 1 brand new in 2010 and I am about to order a new one from them. They have been nothing but very professional and supporting service has been some of the best that I have ever had in my 60yrs . Well done keep it up in me you have a customer for life.

Great company who really care about making sure there customers are happy with there purchase. There after sales support is excellent. The service guys are professional and passionate at what they do and extremely knowledgeable. I would strongly recommend purchasing your vehicle from American Vehicle Sales.

My experience with James from American car sales- terrible- he promised me the world and delivered nothing. I flew to Melbourne from Sydney and met with James before flying to New York to find my SUV. James explained the process and we shook hands. I have been calling, messaging, emailing James for the past 3 weeks to get his approval on a car I have located. No response what so ever.I have now abandoned my venture to ship a car to Australia from the US. I am great full I seen the true colours of American car sales before I took the plunge.Shame on James for giving me a bum steer.But I thank him for saving me lots of money.Still trying to work out how his business is still running.Stay away...

I recently bought a 2015 3500 Silverado that was converted by AVS.The conversion is first-class.The differences I have seen in the AVS conversion and their competitors is AVS move the whole steering column to the right hand side compared to the competitors that leave the steering components in the LHS and run a steering bar with uni joints to the RHS. The AVS conversion is smooth and very responsive. Feedback I have received from people who have competitors conversions is slop/backlash in the steering leaving the driver feeling uneasy driving at highway speeds. With vibration and knocking noises coming from the steering column. The AVS conversion does not have these issues.The handling of the AVS silverado is superb and gives confidence whilst driving at speed and or whilst towing.Inside the vehicle you would never able to tell the AVS silverado was originally left hand drive. The dash is faultless. The 110v socket has been swapped out for a 240v socket.I'm very happy with my AVS Silverado and I would recommend anyone who is thinking of buying an American Ute to give AVS a call / test drive.

Thanks to the guys at American Vehicle Sales for yet another service carried out on my Jeep Wrangler. I dont know what you do but it always feels like a new car again after its service.These guys go above and beyond every time. I highly recommend them for all your service and repair requirements.

Many thanks to the staff at Rowville for over the phone diagnosis of my gearbox failure due to the “ Transmission Control Module “ failure leaving me stranded in outback Aus , they guided me to a supplier with instructions to then post replacement on to Rowville for them to program to suit my truck then they sent to me immediately at no extra cost also advising me how to install the TCM myself in just 5 minutes with further instructions on a 20klm initial drive to settle in. WELL DONE AMERICAN VEHILE SALES @ ROWVILLE , you saved my week and I completed my trip in comfort. Doug McIntosh .

I had my conversion done and over the years their service has declined and poor help once out of warranty and only seem interested to sell me a new one. I have persevered with all the bits falling off and problems. I now discover (after steering box failure) the “light truck steering” box that was claimed to be put in at $10K is actually like a small jeep and way under size. I attempted to speak with them and submitted online forms with no response. This is the icing on the cake that I didn’t want to eat. Never will I buy from American Vehicle Sales again. Let’s see if they claim I’m not a customer...Update Feb 2022: AVS provided an NPS steering box and pitman arm as specified and now installed by Sunshine Steering Palmwoods Qld. Labour and other parts at my cost. Oh what a difference! My truck now drives as easily as a car and now a dream to drive. Thank you for providing the larger steering box.
