Chris Newman Motor Repairs

I went to Chris Newman as my parents recommended them. Not only are they very reasonable price wise they actually showed me the issue with the car and didn't treat me like an idiot . I found them to be very honest with their advice and I am on my way to get my pink slip now. I would have no issue in recommending them to others.

Chris and his team is highly experienced and courteous. Competitive service charges. Great customer service. I had my Volkswagen and Toyota serviced. Nice lounge to sit and relax while you are waiting for the delivery. They provide dropoff's however I was not provided one due to COVID restrictions. Highly recommended!

Very competent mechanics, probably the cleanest workshop I have seen. Warm and welcoming. Had my car serviced and they found some issues that I expected which was fixed on another day. The issue I had fixed was done to the quoted amount probably slightly over which is fine, but was warned of a potential squeaking belt which I was told on arrival to pick up, which I didn’t think was to much of an issue. It may need to be replaced also. OMG it is a loud squeak. I called back spoke to one of the mechs, they said bring it back in and we will fix it Monday, the thing is I would have just have preferred to change it while it was in, I can’t keep bringing the car in for small parts. I am disappointed in the service I got, But I will take my car back, they are trustworthy and I think I’m just going to give them the benefit of the doubt. 3.5 stars ⭐️I took away a star ⭐️ for giving me back a squeaky car and half a star for not communicating with me about the oily belt when we had the opportunity to change it.

Perfect service as always. The team are helpful, explain any issues over the phone that they find, and ensure your vehicle is in good hands. I’d strongly recommend the team.

Wanted to extend a big thanks to Anthony and the team at Chris Newman Motors. We live in Melbourne, during our Easter break we drove up to Wollongong and unfortunately found our 04' Forester experiencing issues with lag and being gutless up hills. My father being a CN motors customer for a long time recommended we see Chris or Anthony for advice. Anthony fit me in quickly after listening to my story and within 45min of arriving had test driven and sorted out the issues. Car drove perfectly across the next few days and we returned safely back to Melbourne. A bit thank you and high recommedations for this highly skilled and honest team.

Great service, my car had broken the fan felt tensioner and had to be towed, rang about 8 local mechanics and all too busy to look at it. Rang Tim from Chris Newman Motor Repairs and even though he was busy he said to get it towed in and he would check it out, 3 hrs later he calls and says its ready . Unbelievable service and the cost also unbelievably cheap. Will be my regular mechanic from now on. A great team of people. Would thoroughly recommend.

Great family business - no mucking you around, just honest and reliable people. They also know how to do great customer service. Been going there for over 10 years. Will never go anywhere else as I've never been disappointed with either Chris or Anthony's service.
