Gavin is ‘The Man’! No hesitation prompt and professional. After describing our situation between the cat and a 1 metre brown snake on the back lawn. Gavin’s first concern was the cat. He then gave clear safe instructions to keep an eye on the snake until his arrival. The retrieval was a sticky one with success.Previously I had heard Gavin on ABC radio, presenting his snake passion and participation in an ANU snake research project about urban snakes. It was most fitting to goggle Snake Removal and discover I had actually called Gavin from the 666 presentation.The rescued snake had an old previous injury, Gavin said, he will inspect the health of this snake before release elsewhere.Finally, Gavin also impressed me with demonstrating first aid bandaging principles, essential knowledge.ACT Snake removal is now directly in my phone list. I have had a few snakes at my place over recent years, Gavin stands out for his professionalism and willingness to share his deep knowledge and tips. Gavin coached me on ways to contain the Tiger whilst he was dealing with an Eastern Brown in the ACT and then again on the drive out. Gavin dealt with the snake very smoothly, and happily reviewed my recent snake-proofing efforts with me. Moreover, he released the Tiger (a declining species in the area) very well. On Sunday we spotted a brown sunning itself in our yard. But it quickly disappeared under a wooden sleeper on top of a retaining wall. We got hold of Gavin and on Monday he came around, cleared the sleeper out the way, found the hole and mounted a motion camera. Monday was a wet and cold day in Canberra to Mr Snake stayed indoors. Today the weather cleared up and the sun came out. So did Mr Snake. Gavin was onto it and arrived very soon after. This was a high risk capture as the snake was about a metre off the ground on top of the retaining wall. After assessing the situation, Gavin decided to approach from behind with the element of surprise. As soon as the snake got on the move, Gavin was able to get hold of it.Thank you Gavin. My heart and all my neighbours' hearts can now beat normal again.

Gavin is very brave! A huge brown snake which had almost demolished a huge rat in our bin area. Luckily he caught it before it got through a hole in the fence and into the neighbours yard. Gavin was very quick to arrive and thoughtful in his process. Would 100% recommend - hopefully won't need his services again though!

Gavin came out and caught an eastern brown snake that had taken up residence in our garden. He was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We would highly recommend him.

10 stars if I could. We recently had a large red belly black snake entangle itself in our car. Gavin was brilliant - calm, friendly and despite being a very complex removal he went the extra mile persevered, exhausted options (while keeping everyone safe) and removed the snake unharmed.
