The leafly garden at the back is sun soak. We enjoy a late lunch on a beautiful autumn day. Food portion is generous and with good quality ingredient. Staff is very friendly. Highly recommended this place.

A great experience and a hidden gem.Stopped here for a lunch on a Saturday. We sat outside in the garden which was gorgeous and full of flowers, and we had a delicious entree and main.It was pretty quiet when we went there which is honestly a shame as it deserves to be packed.Dog friendly outdoor area.

We had a lovely experience at Lochiel House. It was my mums birthday and the chef created a special menu for us. They really went above and beyond. The food was extremely high quality. I would highly recommend the 2019 spier pinotage, my first time trying a South African red and it was delicious. The historical house makes you feel like you have stepped back in time, filled with beautiful old and interesting relics. Worth a visit

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the stunning Lochiel House, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Mountains. The restaurant boasts its own produce, and as such, serves only the freshest, seasonal food. We're a table of fussy diners and nothing was too much trouble for these guys. They even took the effort to send me an insta message with the menu for the day, before our arrival. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring we were comfortable and well looked after. They took the time to give us a tour of the historic 1825 cottage and gardens, explaining the provenance of the area, which only added to the overall experience. The outdoor setting was relaxing, with views of the surrounding gardens and the smells of fresh herbs and flowers wafting through the air. We opted for a table outside as we had a small dog, and were pleasantly surprised by the shade provided by the trees overhead. As for the food, it was nothing short of spectacular. We shared a delicious salad featuring peaches and herbs straight from the garden. The mushroom pate was a big hit, it was tempting not to order it twice. Our main courses were cooked to perfection and the wine paired perfectly.Overall, our dining experience at Lochiel House was truly exceptional. The outdoor setting amongst the gardens, coupled with the seasonal food and helpful staff, made for an unforgettable meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique and memorable dining experience.

Mom and I had a lovely lunch at Lochiel House. We loved the historic building, the cozy fireplace and the good food. Highly recommend this spot when you’re up in the Blue Mountains, or when you’re looking for a day trip idea from Sydney.

Thank for a lovely afternoon of wonderful food, friendly customer service in the most beautiful surroundings. Just an hour and a half out of Sydney - with the drive itself being beautiful and scenic and well worth it especially once you arrive at Lochiel House where you are swept away into old world dining. The food was exquisite and beautifully presented, every bite mouthwatering and it just kept coming. We had a set menu with 14 friends. Arrived at 1pm and managed to pull ourselves away by 5pm. This is a great way to get out of Sydney and spend time with friends, family and loved ones. I highly recommend it! Thank you Charlene and team.Michelle & Paulo

Lochiel House serves decent food. You will find a complexity of textures and ingredients in each dish. Cauliflower soup 3/5. Squid Bruschetta 5/5. Barramundi 5/5. Beef medallion 3/5. Beef quality is not the greatest. Rather pricey $$$$. The inside style is vintage old cottage. This is a nice lunch stop on your way between Sydney and Blue Mountains.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Lochiel House last Sunday. The menu, service and atmosphere was lovely and Charlene is a fantastic host! So lovely to see the team using their kitchen garden to craft a seasonal menu alongside a well thought out wine list. Highly recommend and we will be back!
