Handcrafters House

Thank Jo this class was amazing it really did make sewing curves so enjoyable. The pattern was so easy to put together after you showed us how to match the curves. Will be sewing some more of these soon. The book that goes with the curve rule have some beautiful design, again definitely great class and great teacher

One block wonder I have to say was a wonder, but seeing my own come to life and watching the ladies in the class create their own wonder blocks and gain confidence was a pleasure to see. Thanks to Jo our great teacher for her knowledge . Always a pleasure doing classes at Handcrafters House. Thank you and yes I am back to do another skill building class.

My first time visiting Handcrafters House today around midday and was quite impressed by the shop and the lovely man who served me. However whilst browsing the fabrics alongside other customers, I was taken aback when I heard and saw what seemed to be a supervisory/managerial level staff member berate another staff member quite loudly at the checkout area. I was disgusted with how she spoke to her colleague. She definitely needs some training in how to effectively communicate with her co-workers.

Doing a class with a brand-new overlocker, and a technophobe, was challenging. Michelle was so patient, clear in her instructions and helpful when sometimes I reversed the instructions., I left with a completed article, and in love with my machine. I'm doing the next overlocker course in April. Wish it were sooner!!

Staff is so friendly and helpful. Was there for a sewing class and the support was great. The atmosphere is positive and encouraging. Great variety of fabric and sewing accessories.Bought my Handi Quilter machine and the aftersales support is great.

Had a really great day learning shashiko and boro embroidery for my Japanese table runner the ladies were so helpful and friendly and class mates were great thank you

Great class. We laughed a lot and chatted a lot but we learned lots and lots. Instructions on how to thread the machine, check tensions etc mean i feel very much more confident to use an overlocker.The completed tote bag was a real bonus! Many thanks and looking forward to the next overlocking class.

So I was doing this quilt that I did not think about getting enough fabric at the time (from another store - don't get me started) and I had a bit of a lull in doing it as it was a quilt as you go one - great concept. Anyways they of course did not have any additional material so I headed to Handcrafters house (about 4 times hee hee) At first very overwhelmed and didn't know where to start as I had to change the whole colour scheme. I was walking around in a daze and a lovely lady Janice came to my rescue - she probably saw fear on my face. She helped and suggested some different fabrics which actually worked out well. So I finally put it together and yep you guessed it I needed to make it slightly longer and wider. Then Greg came to my rescue with fantastic suggestions. At first I did think Greg was a little unapproachable but he warmed to me ha ha. Thank you guys you really helped a novice quilter out and I really really appreciate your help - you are my go to quilting store

Excellent range of fabrics of great quality and variety. Plenty of packs ready cut, plus layer cakes. Classes available. Definitely worth the hour drive from Rockingham.
