Decent Japanese joint in the area. We ordered the Teriyaki Salmon Bento ($35) and the Pork ramen ($18.8).Bento came with sushi, sashimi, salad and tempura. Tempura batter was a little thick and stale. Salmon was perfectly cooked - juicy and tender which is the opposite of what you’d usually get. Portion of rice was very small.Ramen wasn’t great - broth was very watery. It had some sort of depth/richness but wouldn’t consider it a tonkotsu. Generous amount of pulled pork and chashu. Again, portion of noodles were small - seems to be the theme here with carbs.

Good food, reasonable prices as well. There is a bit of a wait when it's a little bit busy but the quality is good and the portion sizes are also good. Been here a few times, and seated quickly.

Don't let the location and view from the outside deter you from trying this place out. Once you get past the challenging auto sliding glass doors, you'll feel it's a legit and unpretentious japanese restaurant.High value for money! Servings are sizeable, and the quality exceeds the price point. You won't be disappointed. A gem in Epping Station.Kitchen can be slow during service and food may not arrive at the same time for the party (noticed in neighbor tables).

Had the sashimi platter which was very fresh and chilli pork don (which had fresh chillies). I can eat spicy but I think they should warn a new customer it’s quite hot. Went well with a pot of green tea too and the service was good. Even though it says it closes at 10pm they will close earlier I.e. about 9pm if there aren’t too many customers left

I eat here all the time, but today ordered on Uber Eats, and the karaage chicken was so oily that I couldn't eat it. Also, teriyaki salmon was a bit slimy. I'm not sure why. Usually, it is very nice

Really nice Japanese restaurant with great food. Portions are generous. Their oyakudon is delicious, I think they grill the chicken. The sushi rolls are pretty good too. Convenient location near the train station.

Kaze Fresh Sushi Epping
Been to Kaze Fresh twice now. Everyone in our group was impressed by the quality of the food especially during the second visit which we ordered a good spread of Sushi/sashimi which tasted fresh, delicious hot food such as ramen, don and other rice dishes and yaki Udon. The staff were friendly and it quite spacious where you can spend time to have a good chat with friends and family too.
