Surf Beach

Good beach, convenient location, carparkis really close to the beach. Good facilities.

A nice swimming beach that is patrolled. Good parking, shower facilities and a cafe. Waves were ideal for beginners, body boarding and body surfing

I've been going to Surf Beach for over 25 years and not much has changed. It's debatably the best beach in the Batemans Bay area. Clean, well maintained and beautiful sand. Peak times can get busy, but I've never had trouble getting a park or finding a nice spot on the sand to set up. You'll find lifeguards monitoring the beach during peak times too, so if you're not confident in the water, swim between the flags! North and south of the beach you'll find great rock pools to explore. Have fun!

I love surf beachReally good beach for kids

Beautiful beach.. water is mostly clean whenever we visited this place. Dry,wet sand for kids to play and then walk on the beach is awesome. Small playground is another ad on to this location.

Ideal family beach with a great walking scenery, toilets and kids play area across the road from IGA, chemist, food n bottle shop

Flat, smooth and fine sandy beach that is definitely a favourite with locals and visitors yet large enough to fit everyone.Great beach for children as the sand is firm, flat and moderately shallow for quite a great distance out into the waves. Please be aware of rips though as they do occur here.Beautiful peaceful views and gorgeous rock pools during low tide. Easily connects to other nearby beaches during this time as well making it a lovely walk for the morning or afternoon. Almost all the shells in the waves contain gorgeous little hermit crabs. Dolphins are also easily spotted swimming most days just out from the shore.Close to toilets, showers, take away food, coffee and cold drinks, playground and local IGA and shops. Plus a couple of lovely covered picnic tables. The fish and chips in the local takeaway are the best I've ever had.Signs up forbidding dogs on the beach yet everyone seemed to be walking them anyway but they were all very cute and well behaved dogs. This beach definitely holds an extra special place in my heart

On a cold windy day, the sun shone brilliantly over the millpond blue flat water. It was so pleasant to sit there for a bit and take it all in.

A great park to play at. Finally they are updating the toilet block. Wish they'd put a fence around the playground as it's straight into it from the playground and people don't look when backing out. This is one of our favourite spots to stop with IGA for drinks and the cafe for chips, nuggets, potato scallops etc. A really little hive of activity.
