Cracknback Campgrounds

Had a great time camping!No worries with my 2WD. Brought in enough firewood, water for endless tea, and blankets, it was pretty warm even though it was winter. Heaps of space at this time of year, great privacy for camping.Perfect spot for watching for yowies, photography, fishing, or just hanging out with friends and family. Totally worth the drive from Sydney. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

Very quiet. Shady and open sites. Fire pits. 3 flushing toilets 3 hot showers. Have showers before sunset no light in facilities or take a torch. Canoe on river. Would love to return for longer stay.

We are glad that we have discovered this hidden gem. We have spent 3 beautiful nights here and we are already looking forward to coming back. Nicole is friendly and helpful and the hot showers and clean amenities were an added bonus. Thanks for having us. We'll be back.

Beautiful spot. Amazing hosts. Refreshing river swimming. Wildlife, serenity and generous sized campsites. We will go again.

An amazing place to stay! The scenery was gorgeous and the owners were incredibly kind and generous. Made the whole experience a great trip away. The amenities (toilet and showers) were clean warm and easily accessible

Very friendly owner operator, great location, new facilities with hot showers. The creek is also a great temperature.

Really beautiful place and lovely people running it. We camped right on the river surrounded by mountains. One of the most beautiful places we have camped and plenty of space so we weren't surrounded by other campers. The road in was damaged by the floods and still being repaired but we got our 20 foot van in there easy enough from the Kempsey end. It's the most beautiful drive in too

What a crack'n campsite! I've camped at a fair few places along the east coast over the years and this place is up amongst the best. It's a huge allotment so there's not much risk of being bothered by other camp groups.Bring your good cameras if you have them because the clear night sky is simply magic, and you'll see loads of wildlife and interesting plants around the place. The drive in from Kempsey was simply stunning. A slice of pure Australiana!The toilet/shower block is pretty damn good, and I'm super impressed with the owners going to the trouble of making the place fairly accessible for wheelchair users. I probably wouldn't suggest someone with high-care needs come this far out from a big town anyway, but for myself in a manual wheelchair it was certainly easy enough to get around our main campsite. If you're a reasonably independent manual wheelchair user who will need to use the toilet block I would suggest just talking to the owners about your situation; they're absolutely beautiful people and will do their best to help you out :D
