The Oriana, Orange

We booked this for a little luxury on our trip home and whilst everything was ok I felt it was below par in some areas. The room which is a old motel room that was renovated. Is probably not the best renovation job - the shower was old and chipped the tiles in the bathroom had been painted over. Our towels were old an a bit torn. All ok but at $300 a night it was overpriced. The staff smoking in the car park was a bit off and a young chef sitting on a freezer in the entrance near the kitchen door eating pizza was not in keeping with the advertising. Probably better value in Orange

Comfy rooms and great service from what looks like a recently refurbished hotel/motel. Room (mine at least) was great. Nice bed, fresh coat of paint nice chairs and lights to lift the place up.The bones of the place are a little dated so there's only so much you can do without spending a fortune and rebuilding it. Things like old windows that stick and need some nudging to get open. The bathroom is fine, looks like they did what they could to lift it up a bit (no shower curtains! Glass door on the shower is a big tick!).EDIT: Based on their reply, I was right! Renovation projects (not major work/hammering) is still ongoing and planned. Despite their beautiful courtyard and outdoor restaurant (which I sadly missed out on eating at), they don't have a secret money tree either.Can't comment on value for money, booked late and the town was full for a festival so I did pay more than I would like but ultimately happy with a good comfortable night sleep.

We very much enjoyed our first visit to the Peacock room. Hospitable and attentive hosts, delicious, large dishes, beautiful presentation and wide local wine list. We would love to come back again and again. The vegetarian options are so very much appreciated, such an inclusive and romantic atmosphere. The menu is on the more expensive side and certainly worth it in our opinion.

Rooms - Top Class. Clean. And have everything you would want. Staff are very pleasant and professional. Great Place.

This review is for the outdoor Oriana Gardens area. We could not have asked for a more perfect summer afternoon than what we had at the Oriana Gardens. The service was excellent and I'd like to recognize Kendall especially for assisting with my booking and reserving us a lovely table for 12 under one of the cabanas near the pool section. The food was all excellent and came out very quickly. We loved the ambiance and enjoyed being able to take a free dip in the pool after as part of their Summer Kitchen offer. We were surprised at how quiet it was, but delighted to be able to lounge at our table for a while while also having pool access. I highly recommend this experience.

Absolutely loved staying here. A retro style motel that has had a brilliant facelift to bring it into the future.The rooms are generous, well equipped and serviced daily. The bed was comfortable and cute chair set outside the front door.Amazing dinner at the peacock room - this is a must if you're in the area.The lounge is a great place for a well priced drink in a winged back lounge chair with mood lighting and a great atmosphere.The wildfired pizza out on the lounge chairs in the garden is a great evening spent in summer.The staff were all so beautifully friendly and helpful. I've never had better service consistently from all staff. Tim at the front was a standout as was our amazing bartender at the pool bar.The pool was so relaxing and loved having a swim and a cocktail in the sun. The one recommendation would be to get some day beds and umbrellas for by the pool to allow more time spent there!Thank you so much for having us. I will definitely be back

Well run facility for business travellers and tourists. Simple well appointed rooms. Great restaurant with local wines. Parking outside the room and fast internet. Walk to shops and towns. Cycle to a cycleway around the wetlands.

Needed a last minute room, and this hotel was a great surprise. Older building, but clean. Great bed and amazing shower pressure, especially for a hotel. Lovely bar with a nice vibe, gorgeous outdoor area too.
