Sign on the table says tax return estimate $50. I sit down and she asks me for my TFN. She comes back a minute later with a form. I ask her something to determine whether I want to use her services. She advises that its too late and I will be charged $50 if I don't proceed. Kind of ridiculous that they don't inform people prior that providing a TFN costs $50.Throughout the process, she just enquires whether I have any work taxable deductions without providing any examples. I noticed after leaving that she had forgotten to ask me about electricity bills, internet bills etc that I pay for while WFH and a few other things I had claimed last year. I had to remind her of certain deductions that existed, she only asked me how much I spent on face masks and stationery and went silent while I had to think of other deductions myself.At the end they charge me $110. I asked her why is it so high above the estimate. She advised that although the sign on the table advises $50 is the estimate, that that is only the minimal fee for providing TFN.Misleading, unprofessional, sub-standard. I spent more than last year in work expenses, but due to their incompetence, I didn't get that much more back. And also lost money due to their fee and losing out on claimable deductions.If your taxes are simple, save your time and over $100 and time by doing your own taxes on mygov. Takes half an hour and they precalculate your income via interest and employment.I asked for an itemised invoice, which she agreed to, then writes out a basic handwritten note advising of the fee with no breakdown.Or go to a more knowledgeable and professional accountant with better command of the English language and tax law.

Won’t be returning. wouldn’t let me use all my receipts when they are claimable things, didn’t know if I could claim this or that when I could.Someone I know also went to the same place and sounds like it was the same lady she put none of his deductions in and he paid more then the standard he had to have it amended.Avoid
