POOR QUALITY PRODUCT, Do not purchase this brand. I purchased a Makita brand chainsaw that’s not working and defective since the day I picked it up. Claimed that it has be repaired but it is still not working with smoke coming out of machine. Now 6 months after my purchase, I have still not been able to use it at all, NOT EVEN ONCE!

My impact driver stopped working, took it to the service center on Thursday. They checked the recipient, and had it back to me on Monday as good as new. No charge.

The service cervice centre is awesome.I've brought old cordless tools here a few times to be fixed.The staff are helpful.They know their stuff.They quote you before they do anything.And so far everything has been surprisingly affordable.Take your Makita stuff here.

I am alittle annoyed in the complaints processHave bought 3 Makita Product lately have asked the question told the answer that arnt right. this is from reps down. i now have 3 items that dont do what i was told they would. Simple dont buy Makita i wont be buying anymore.

Purchased a saw 8 months ago, was cutting a piece of American white oak when the saw kicked back and wouldn’t work again, sent back for repair and was told it wasn’t under warranty, the repair bill was more than buying a new one.Even got told by the service centre where I returned it that Makita will do anything to get out of a warranty issueI’m done with Makita,Milwaukee has superior tools and better customer service and warranty

Took my 82mm Makita Planer in for a service and the guys were super helpful. I was directed by someone outside where to go and the service team came and talked me through the process, and also explained how they go about fixing my tool. Turn around is super fast also compared to third party repairers. Highly recommend, top blokes here (and ladies I'm sure) would come again for all of my servicing.

Today I went to get my Makita drill brushes I was offered a check up at no cost... WOWAlso they said they will look at the battery for me too. I went with 0 expectation of even getting the part and I left with a 10 out of 10 experience. Great people make great brands extra special. Thanks Makita.

Bought a set of multifunction power head and tools last weekend. The hedge trimmer handle was loose out of box. When I adjust the tightness of the pole saw chain, the screw chipped. Not good!I took a day off and went back to Sydney Tools for warranty. They do not offer new replacement parts. And I was told they had to send tools back to Makita for inspection by following Makita rules. I do not understand why they created all these troubles for their customers. I felt angry and asked for a refund. Even for refund, they have to send the faulty parts back to Makita for inspection before they can process the payments. Not happy!While waiting in the shop, I noticed that I was the only one purchased Makita brand tools. There must be a reason.Now I am left with no hedge trimmer and pole saw which I was planning to use to prune my garden trees this weekend. What a waste of time! Will never buy Makita again! In another way, I am so glad that this happened before I purchased more Makita 18V tools.

Another one star review for Makita. My impact driver had a bent shaft straight out of the box. Sydney Tools (another 1 star business) would not replace the faulty item they said they have to send it to Makita for warranty claims that will take months. It is my fault for buying cheep poorly made tools from a cheap poorly run retailer. Do your self favour and buy good tools to avoid disappointment.
