Felt welcome the minute we walked in. Lady behind the bar was great. Dinner was ok. Only pub still running in town and walking distance to the caravan park.

The pub owner let you stay behind the pub with caravan or RV ( self contained of course) Entrance best ( with caravan) through Clarke str. across the information centre hut into dirt lane way. A small area, check before drive in. The other entrance is via Mc Leod str. left after pub into car entrance.Staff is very friendly and helpful.We had large portions for dinner. Very yummy and good priced.A great experience for us.We hope many grey nomads come in to support this pub.

Our stay was terrible, it all appeared very nice online, the bar lady checked us in, nice and friendly but the room was freezing cold, and smelt extremely musty, we had to open the window to let in fresh air for the mustiness. The common room/lounge had open packets of food on a table in the corner and although there was a kettle we did not touch anything as it did not look clean. Thank goodness we had our own thermos, and coffee for a drink. No food was available we had to go up the street for takeaways. The room still smelt musty and cold, there was no heating. Were woken at 3am by a woman on the phone ranting on about her personal life. On hindsight we should have asked for a refund and moved on. I would not recommend it ever.

Pleasantly surprised with the steak dinner I had. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection. Hubby had no complaints either with the Bangers and mash. Drinks on offer from the fridge is good albeit only one type of beer available on tap.

Well, I give it 4 stars because this is the small town kinda place I’d expect to stay in when driving around Australia. Accommodations are pretty bare, fine for me, maybe ‘run down’ for others, but it works. There’s a vibrant pub downstairs with local patrons and tourists alike. Food is served but kitchen closes around 8 it seems so plan ahead if on a road tripStaff were friendly, place is historic. Would return if in the area and needing a place to lay my head

Saturday lunch time, I was told that lunch wasn’t available due to preparations for charity dinner. Came back to support charity dinner only to be told, all food was sold out in 15 minutes, no dinner for us. Feel sorry for the charity who lost money due the publicans incompetence.

The photos on the website do not reflect the accrual assistance of this hotel. Rooms are basic, beds and pillows uncomfortable. Off street parking is poor. Access to rooms via parking is inadequate. No food was offered on the night we stayed, shared bathroom, small bar area, not pleasant, won't be back.

Great small town pub. Service and food were excellent. Very friendly staff. Will come back on our travels up the South Coast. Good on you guys you made us feel welcome.

Rolled up, order dinner and was directed to the beer garden where kitchen staff were having smokes next to seated patrons. Food was average, only Pub in town.
