Be sure to check reviewer profiles! Despite being disappointed on our last visit, we decided to give fourthchild another chance again last night, based on the more recent 5-star ratings, thinking things must have improved. We brought out-of-state guests and we were all disappointed by the food quality and timing. To be fair, the wine and coffee were good, and the staff were lovely. However, for the price we paid, we felt cheated. We had to cancel one of our entrees since it hadn't arrived while the others were done, and we had to send two meals back to the kitchen. The other meals were below standard and the kids' menu item was the last dish to arrive. After looking at the reviews and profiles again today, it seems likely that most of them were purchased from professional reviewers. Very disappointing as my decision to book again was based on these ratings

We were looking for something close with yummy food and value for money. This place delivered. Food was great! The variety of seating arrangements is awesome. Outside on the footpath, out back on the verandah, inside near the fireplace or in a smaller room. The place is immaculately clean and well looked after. Amenities are located at the back and also immaculate. One of our waitresses was a hoot! Prompt, polite and with a great sense of humour. I think she's Korean, she's good value! They do an all day breakfast and the desserts look incredible. We were too full to indulge tho. Not to worry tho, we're going back!

I absolutely adore Fourthchild restaurant for their in-store dining and lunch options within the price range of $30-40. The staff are amazing and very friendly, and the sesonal special grilled barramundi I had was great. I also enjoyed my favorite cold brew coffee! I will definitely go back again.

My best friend and I came here for high tea as our Christmas gift to each other. The staff were friendly and attentive ensuring everything was perfect - from the seating to the food - and it was. Our whole experience was just wonderful. The food was amazing and so beautifully presented and it was no trouble for staff to box up the goodies we couldn't fit in so we could take them home to enjoy later (and I did). The glass of bubbly was a treat and to finish the morning, a cup of their divine coffee. What a perfect gift for Christmas. Can only recommend you put Fourth Child on your Christmas wish list. You won't be disappointed.

Had a nice stop off for lunch on Ipswich Cup day. It was very quiet but the staff were very friendly and attentive and professional. Food was good, just a little overpriced in my opinion.

Fourthchild Licensed Cafe Restaurant
Visited today for lunch. Very disappointing. Everything from service to food was appalling. Waited 30 mins for service and orders to be taken, then one hour and twenty minutes for food. So arrived at 12.30pm and served food at 2.20pm. Had a young child with us and requested this be brought out before the other meals. Said it can’t be done. Asked three times about progress and told each time ‘soon’. Food was also below average and overpriced. No offer of anything to compensate for the experience. Don’t recommend and won’t be going back.
