Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum
Well worth a visit. Do make sure you have about 2 hours to see it properly. From watching the video after a brief chat, to viewing the exhibits and the bunker at the end. The Flying Boat Museum explained how Lake Boga became an important part of WW2 and some things that we are not taught in Australian History at school

Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum
We had a insightful great time here. Soo much history particularly how Lake Boga area played an integral part back in the war time in the 1940s. Naz was an awesome informant in the museum really giving us pointers on where would be best to start at and go from there. Everything was great the whole set up. If you ever in Swan Hill stop by for a visit.

What a brilliant surprise it was to find this fabulous museum! I'm an aircraft nut from teenage years & was over the moon to see the restored Catalina plus all the other brilliant aviation (& other) memorabilia.Lake Boga was a WW2 secret & also a modern day secret as we had never heard its story. So glad we visited & we'll be spreading the word!

Fantastic visit with family. The volunteers, Naz and Steve had excellent historical knowledge, friendly and approachable.Hidden gem and learnt more on Australia's involvement in the war.Highly recommend.

Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum
Really interesting experience! There's a huge Catalina flying boat, a good video explaining how Lake Boga got involved, an underground communications bunker and lots of vehicles and paraphernalia associated with World War 2.Many in the southeen states don't realise how close the conflict of world war 2 got in the north of Australia, and the Catalina flying boats were an important part of the war effort.This place is run by the local Lions Club and the family entry pass of $40 was more than worth it!

A very interesting museum, and the staff member was absolutely incredible and explained everything so well. We had our pictures taken in the jeep and watched a short 20 minute documentary too. They were very accomodating and allowed our dog into the museum too which was great. Lots to read on the information boards too, and plenty of artefacts around the museum.

A great place to visit. The museum staff were very friendly and so willing to help. The information in the museum is well presented and there are some great video presentations. Allow plenty of time to see everything especially the bunker. The cafe is open Thursday to Sunday and they have excellent tea and coffee. The main meals are delicious and well presented.
