Service was prompt, and was asked for coffee upon being seated. The waitress gave helpful menu recommendations!The crispy fries were amazing!The outdoor seating area made the entire meal more enjoyable and to top off the experience, we got some free marshmallows when paying our bill.

The food is healthy upmarket. Could be a little more generous with prime ingredients. 4 prawns in a Prawn Linguine.The blonde woman who seated us (most likely one of the owners) was quite condescending. We felt like we were bothering her. She practically threw a water bottle on the table. It was busy but there's never an excuse for a bad attitude. If we hadn't have been given a gift voucher by someone we would probably have gone somewhere else.Needless to say it's most likely we won't be going back. Pity, because the food was pretty good. Didn't like the attitude though.

A trendy cafe for a staple breakfast in the suburbia of Mortdale. The family owned and run business boasts a contemporary menu selection complemented by their specialty coffees.Plate I ate:Eggs Benedict - soft poached eggs, hollandaise sauce on a toasted croissant with spinach and crispy bacon.

Had a great lunch at Silver Fox Cafe. The croissant used with the eggs bene is such a great idea and very tasty. The big brekky was nice and very filling, Schnitty was a bit dry, the Thai beef salad was really good, the hangover cure burger was tasty, needs more fat to cure a hangover lol Pancakes were delish and the fox burger was extremely yummy! The outdoor area is a nice touch and its sheltered from the weather. Good attentive service. Definitely a great place to visit!

$34.90 For a burger and coffee? A BIT RICH, don't you think?Taking off 10% for surcharge $31.50?A real beef burger with fries and a cold drink in other places is only $22 Max!The burger patty was dry and overcooked, and the bacon was so overcooked that it was dry and cardboard like consistency.The burger sauce was loaded with way too much sugar! To the point l needed to drink water to dilute it. The lettuce was soggy and probably at least a week old due to markets being closed, hahaThe brioche bun was old and stale and chewy.The fries were so saturated with oil that it leaked out of the chip when i bit into it because the oil was cold when they attempted to fry them.Also covered all over in that chicken salt, which i absolutely hate, and nobody asked me if l wanted!Nobody asked me at the end of the meal or when i went to pay if everything was ok?So, by this, l can surmise that this is the standard that gets served out.Considering the small amount of patrons, the service was slow and not very personalised to my needs, taking into account the high cost!Overall, it was very ordinary and disappointing and would highly NOT RECOMMEND. I've also based this review on 2 previous visits here, not just 1 bad experience!

Consistently good food over the handful of times I have been. The coffee on the other hand is average and Filter Cafe next door definitely outclasses them on flavour of the coffee beans.
