Following a routine service by Edge Marine our boat exploded and caught on fire and slammed into the jetty at Yorkeys Knob. Edge Marine have admitted they forgot to put our Carburetor assembly back on after they serviced our boat and emailed us saying it was right to go. The Carburetor had been sitting on their work bench unnoticed for 12 days after the service. The boat remains in a state of disrepair whilst we continue to try and negotiate with Jason’s insurer NTI. The boat has been out of the water for 2.5 months. We asked Edge Marine, Jason Hanlon to refund the $561.35 service fee, as the service not only damage our boat, it nearly took our lives. He at first refused but has now offered to refund the service fee, provided we sign a disclaimer / gag order and give him copies of our drivers licences. We are the victims and we have been treated so badly by this man and his company. I have given him 1 star because google doesn’t give you an option to give no stars.

Had my annual service done it costed a bit more than I thought it would, until I saw the service report and the work these guys had done on my outboard... took it out and it runs better than ever... excellent knowledge and customer service, worth every cent spent.... will definitely be returning next service

Not to bad.. I asked around for a few prices for some parts I was chasing, and they where the cheapest by miles. Half the price some others where asking. So I started thinking of buying a new outfit, Racheal behind the front desk was very helpful. She is switched on and can pull numbers and part details out of her head. Well organised..good as far as I'm concerned...

I had my boat with them twice ( 3weeks and 4weeks)I had appointments both times but they didnt even end up looking at it. They told me that they had no staff, sick staff and too much work. I understood, although i waited three weeks already, and they told me to bring it back after Christmas and it will be done before the new work. Dropped it off in the new year waited again and they gave me the same excuses for 4 weeks. But all the new boats got fixed and new work was done aswell. I would avoid them at all cost if you need you boat back in the same year. Safe yourself the headache and excuses and go somewhere else they are clearly not interested in the small guys.

Started well but going downhill rapidly by not completing work to expected standards. (See other reviews) Get money then pushed out the door - too busy. Many return visits to fix what should have been done properly in the first place. Literally weeks spent in the shop.Last straw was my now standard check of their work on return from service on near new DF200APX revealing oil streaming down transom and leg. Running the engine like I did would gave revealed this.Turns out they somehow wrecked the rear oil seal in the shop - doing what I can't even begin to guess. Oh - that just happens" does not fly as an excuse in any industry. I wonder if The Haines Group actually read these reviews on their Suzuki service agent - from real people?Time for a tune up maybe (pun intended)."
