Tony's Tropical Tours

I would highly recommend this day trip from Port Douglas as an excellent way to experience all the attractions of the Daintree forest.Highlights include a beautiful walk down the river at Mossman Gorge, a walk through a privately owned part of the Daintree forest, plus a delicious lunch in a lovely open air eating area in the forest followed by a swim in the amazing, crystal clear water of a rainforest creek. Other stops included a cruise along the Daintree river where we saw a number of crocodiles and a tree snake, the beach at Cape Tribulation, and a yummy ice cream place on the way home.Our guide Jens was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I was also very pleasantly surprised that there wasn’t too much driving, and a number of stops to explore different areas or even just enjoy the views, to break up the trip.

A small group of 6 on our tour with Rob yesterday. Rob was very knowledgeable of the area and entertaining. We had a great day. Fun trip also with Ray looking for crocs. Great BBQ lunch. Recommend Rob and this tour group.

We were picked up outside of Port Douglas, driving up from cairns in the morning.We were two adults and two kids (8 & 9), with the rest of the group older, but worked well with the overall group size at 10. A fantastic day, seeing crocs, cassowaries and learning a lot along the way with fantastic scenery.Rob made the day great fun, and a lot more enjoyable than if we had self driven. Thoroughly recommend, and thanks for a great day!

Did the mossman gorge, the daintree and cape tribulation tour. A wonderful experience. Rob our guide and driver was humourous, knowledgeable and considerate. We saw all we had hoped to see and had reasonable time to experience all.

Jen was our tour guide for the whole day tour. He was absolutely incredible. His approach to being a tour guide was what made it so unique and special. He began the day be introducing each person on the bus and also remembered our names! although I typically hate icebreakers, this made a massive difference being on a mini bus with strangers the entire day. This helped form connections and conversations. Jen had so much information and also made the trip funny. He was so respectful, informative and humorous. We cannot recommend this tour any higher as there were small bus sizes, fantastic guides and also parts which are not accessed by other tours. Cannot recommend any higher.

Tony was a fabulous guide, really knowledgeable about the region and I would highly recommend this tour. Well organised from the pickup to morning tea, to lunch and then back. Just the right time at the sites and a superb day

We recently went on one of Tony's Tours to the Daintree. Randall, our tour guide, was fantastic. He kept the chat going nearly the time, sharing interesting and fun facts about the area, flora and fauna. The boat cruise down the Daintree we did, with Ray as guide, was great. Honestly, it is incredible how well he could spot the the crocs and snake through their camouflage and at such a distance. The lunch on the tour was delicious and topped off with a trip to the Daintree Icecream Shop, which was fantastic! If you are looking for a tour while in FNQ would definitely recommend Tony's Tropical Tours.

We had an amazing day with our group and tour guide Steve. He was very knowledgable and had some great stories to keep us entertained on the bus. The swim in the river and the beautifully fresh sorbet were our favourite. Thanks Steve for showing us a great day!

A big shout out to Jens, who was the most knowledgeable, funny, approachable and professional guide. This tour is absolutely amazing - so well planned, and being in a small group pales in comparison to those big tour buses you see moving around! Definitely worth the $$. So many beautiful parts of the Daintree and the Mossman Gorge that you get to see. The lunch spot we stopped at was fantastic too, with a beautiful fresh water swimming hole right near by. We also loved the ice cream stop towards the end of the tour. Fresh locally made ice cream which tasted amazing! This tour was a highlight of our trip to Port Douglas.
