Jacka Park
Nice spot. Great play Park for kids. Shame the local dog owners don't clean up after their dogs and let them off the leash when there are signs up saying not to. That aside, there are some nice shaded spots for a picnic, no BBQ though.

Great park for kids to play and for a little peace and quiet under the trees. The local war memorial is in this park

Excellent swings. (Albeit only 2 and one is for infants.) They are long chained = far more exciting for the kids. Council, if you are reading: the queues at play parks are always for the swings. #buildmoreswings #firstworldproblems

Jacka Park
This lawn-covered park has a small adventure playground for the little ones at one end and an attractive stand of shady paper bark gums at the other. Between these there is an important northern beaches war memorial. The memorial consists of a large “Wall of Remembrance” and it is here you understand the primary function of Jacka Park. The park itself is named after Private Lesley Jacka who was killed at Gallipoli. The Wall of Remembrance has the names of the local personnel that were killed in WWI and WWII. Two busts either side of the wall commemorate (on the right) the Northern Beaches unknown returned soldier and (on the left) local nurse Alice Le Messurier who served during WWI. This memorial and park is one of the primary Northern Beaches assembly points for ANZAC Day ceremonies which are attended by servicemen and local dignitaries.

Jacka Park
Quiet playground for little kids. The council has put in parking limits so that the trailers and boats can no longer park there which is a BIG help - I have been able to get a parking spot easily now and it's far safer. The school uses the oval during term at recess and lunch, so it is quite dusty.
