Coffee and produce is ok. Why is there no background music at all around Sunshine Coast? Businesses are not welcoming, it doesn’t need to be loud just a gentle background chill out music would completely change the atmosphere. Just a thought :)

Shingle Inn Sunshine Plaza
Today I had the most confusing meal at Shingle Inn. Firstly my order was wrong four times! Then the coffee was forgotten and I was promised a refund. When I went to get the refund this was denied as ever having been said although I had a friend with me who heard the waiter say it. To top it off, instead, I was asked to pay for a salad which was included in the price of the meal. Will I be back, I doubt it very much?

All our meals came out at different times. 2 omelettes came out about 5 minutes apart and waffles served after another table served. Had to ask where they were. This is not acceptable in hospitality as all meals should come out at same time.

We had a Hawaiian melt and breakfast bowl. $4.00 for a side of chips that would have been a 10 chips, 3.60 for 1 piceofgluten free toast. Meals were small, coffee luke warm, the Hawaiian melt was delivered wrong first time then when it arrived it looked like it wS passed under the grill quickly. Certainly would not call it a melt. We won't be back.

If I could choose zero I would. At the start we asked for a bowl of coffee ( that they have available on display) which they didn’t give us a bowl instead a small coffee. We ordered a burger which tasted like it was weeks old, three small pancakes and tasted like it was from a bottle mix and a serving of chips. The chips were the main issue. If you are paying $8 for chips you would expect a decent serving, not at this place. As one of the staff members was walking over he knocked our chips over all on the table (about half) then continued to pick them up and place them into the same container with his bare hands. I asked for a new serving and he continued to walk away. At the end I asked to speak to the manager and he was very rude and didn’t give a refund as we didn’t have a single chip. Terrible food, terrible customer service and awful restaurant/cafe. WON’T BE COMING BACK DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

We used to comehere regularly after the movies. No more.The staff are not friendly, the cakes are unmarked and pricey. I ordered a toasted cheese sandwich which must have been made from cheese spread because it was virtually invisible.Shame really, it's a top spot and handy but not particularly welcoming and I certainly wouldn't come back for the food.

We arrived to see all empty tables full of dirty dishes. It was a public holiday so our total was over $80 for 3 drinks and 3 dishes. All of our poached eggs were overcooked and even after a 3rd attempt at coffees, they were still undrinkable. It was the worst coffee we have ever been served. The young waitress was amazing but the staff member taking orders while making coffees was rude and unapologetic.

Went in the sunshine plaza store went for a coffee and raisin toast yesterday morning I received my coffee. Never mind raisin toast away to 20 minutes and then I left. I didn’t say anything because they’re a bit busy. The coffee was great for $12.50
