H.2.O CAFE RESTAURANT
This place is a hidden gem. The best asian cuisine in Launceston. The wait lady (Yuki) is so accommodating. The food is one of the best I have had. I love the salt and pepper fish. I am not a fish eater generally, but this is amazing. The Bbq pork is marinated in a old traditional Chinese method and its delicious. Also try the omelette thats not on the menu....see pics bok choi

Let's start with service: The waitress who greeted us was friendly & nice. Then it all started going wrong.I felt a bit annoyed at how the size of the food was overhyped when it was far from the reality. The waitress was promoting how big the dishes served at the place were despite the $20+ price tag per dish. When they were served, oh boy, they were quite small. I've been to places with that price tag serving twice the size of those dishes (pics attached). The second issue was we were served wrong dishes (two) despite our small order of 4 & there was no other customers in store. The same waitress who took our order first came over (without bringing any notepad) and was like yes. Then she walked off went to the counter and confirmed the order with me again which was already wrong & I corrected her and this time she was writing down on a note pad. So how did she still managed to get it wrong?? We ordered Szechuan style fish fillet in hot pot but was given Szechuan style pork fillet. We didn't realise it was wrong as we were hungry and she did not really mention the name of the fish served. I only realised that was wrong when she brought over the sweet and sour pork. I'm like no I DID NOT order that. I said hot & spicy pork. But she's like you sure you don't want this? No, lady I want what I ordered tqvm.Food: There was nothing special about the fried rice, it was pretty average tasting. The hot and spicy pork just felt like it was drenched in Oyster sauce. The salt & pepper squid & the Szechuan style pork were pretty good.Ambience: Way too dim in the restaurant.

We found this little gem in Launceston on holidays from Brisbane.Fantastic service and great food we had Chicken and Cashew, Sweet and Sour Pork, fried rice with chicken, satay chicken skewers and spring rolls. Everyone enjoyed their meals and loved the service. The owner is lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. Would highly recommend.

Amazing! From the service to the food everything was spot on. We didn’t take photos because we were starving but the mango, strawberry iced tea, dragonfruit and pineapple frappes were refreshing and the brisket, curry puffs, Mongolian beef, Szechuan chicken, spring rolls and combination seafood was amazing. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend.

Very happy with the service and food! The staff- Candice was so friendly and attentive, it was lovely when she asked if we preferred warm or cold water as the weather out there was freezing. Definitely will go back again :)

I was in Tasmania, Launceston with family for 8 days and chanced upon this hidden gem for lunch. The Chinese food served was authentic and delectable to everyone's unexpectation especially with the older folks after 8 days of western food. A definite must go for anyone looking for a sumptuous meal with reasonable price. We ended up having a comfortable dinner too on the same day, served by the polite and efficient staffs. Woolsworth is just across the road for a quick buy too. Happy Holidays everyone!

Came across it ransomly while looking for dinner, and was surprisingly pretty decent overall. Though was not a big fan of the chicken corn soup, but may have been just a different style that I am used to.
