We have a new Dog!!!Spoke to the team at directK9 as we have an 18 month old staffy that is perfect with us at home but as soon as someone new enters the house he gets so excited and jumps up and will not leave our guests alone. It got to point we had to separate the dog and our guests by having him outside when we had people over, which just wasn't fair, or not have people at our house.We had tried a numbe of other types of training and including group training and our staffy just became more excited in the environment and less attentive and regressed.Warren from DirectK9 came over last Friday he spent the first 30 minutes with us, my wife , son and I explaining the theory behind what he was about to do. Our dog was outside and very excited as he could see someone new to play with, when we got to the point of Warren interacting with our dog it took less than 10 minutes to see a change , Warren was fantastic in teaching all of us even my 10year old son what was required, Our staffy is still the same wonderful loveable dog , but he now some how listens and knows what's required. In the few short days since Warren came and helped us all of our lives have been enhanced and our relationship with our wonderful energetic staffy is so much better. Can't recommend this company enough, wish we we'd made the call ages ago.

Super impressed with K9 training.My two dachshunds listen to us now. We have almost eliminated barking (door bells, birds, other dogs) and set boundaries in the home. Very helpful with a crawling baby. Definitely highly recommended

We contacted Direct K9 a few days after bringing our newborn baby home as our spoilt American staffy was struggling with boundaries- wanting to lick and jump up on the baby and barking has always been an issue. The guys fit us in very quickly and we had Warren come and spend a couple of hours giving us very simple tips to instil some boundaries (without the use of treats which is what we wanted) and after 1 day of us implementing them with our dog there is already a huge difference. Would recommend Direct K9 to everyone - amazing service.

I have contacted Direct K9 a few days ago to help us with our 4 year-old German shepherd, who has severe anxiety issues on her walks. Warren from direct K9 spent couple of hours with our dog and he was able to reduce our dog’s anxiety immediately when walking with her. He also taught us techniques to manage and control our dog’s anxiety effectively. Now we are able to walk our dog without any issues. Bringing home our new puppy I wanted to make sure I was starting off on the right foot with a plan! Paige visited our house and helped us with our bouncy, bitey and cheeky labradoodle puppy. She's clearly a dog lover and I like the balanced approach to training using rewards but also voice tone. It made me feel more confident in what we doing and for us it's been 100% worth the investment. Thank you Paige :)

After spending $325 and having a very unsatisfactory experience with a so called reputable dog obedience school in Adelaide, we engaged Warren from Direct K9 Adelaide to help with our 11 month old’s behaviour. Chilli, our excitable Tenterfield Terrier, is relatively good when it is just the family at home but the minute other people enter the house, or we leave the house, he jumps and play bites people, and has no recall. This made it difficult having people visit, particularly non-dog people, or for us to go out with him.The first dog trainer told us that Chilli needed to be sedated and was untrainable! However, after only one two hour session with Warren, he now responds to various commands and tones of our voice, and will stay in a certain position until we free him.Thanks Warren. Warren came to our home to help us with a very persistent, mouthing puppy, who apparently thinks he is at the top of the pecking order in our house! Warren provided easy to follow strategies to regain some hierarchy and teach our pup boundaries. A couple days in continuing the training tips and we are already noticing changes in his behaviour for the better. Big thanks to Warren and the team, 100% recommend the services :)

Contacted Direct K9 to help us with our two beautiful dogs that needed more control on their walks and help with barking and jumping, and more understanding for us on how to teach our dogs. After their training with Dave today we came away with two totally different dogs that behaved so well on their walks that we can now continue on to train them ourselves with the knowledge and information that was given to us. It has been a month since Dave came to see us for an in-home session for my one-year-old mini schnauzer, Max, who was reactive to other dogs, and people and still mouthing/biting clothes, hands and feet.We saw a huge improvement in all of these areas immediately, and Max continues to improve week after week (although we still have work to do). We have even been able to sit at a café with other dogs nearby and join a dog-walking group.I had spent countless hours on YouTube watching dog training videos and reading various books with no success, and in one session Dave has set us on the right track to having a dog that behaves well enough to take anywhere.
