I can't speak highly enough of this business and especially the owner Andrew Temple. I was terrified when my husband and I began the kitchen and bathroom renovation on our original 1940's investment property because I knew there would be plumbing, electrical and asbestos issues that were difficult to estimate until work began. I was afraid the costs would blow out. Andrew spent lots of time with us, working through the risks and the options and sent us a very detailed quote. He encouraged us to select our own fittings (tiles, lights, appliances, hardware etc) but bought them for us through his wholesalers and happily passed the savings on to us. His tradies were all awesome too, especially the tiler who worked miracles with a very uneven and slanting floor. When problems arose, like with the corroded pipes and asbestos in one wall Andrew provided absolutely sound advice and talked through the options and in the end the additional cost was nowhere near as bad as I had feared. When my husband passed away in the middle of the renovation, Andrew just picked up the ball and ran with it and went above and beyond anything I could have expected from him to get the job finished when my head was elsewhere. He was so kind. I could not have been happier with the end result and even engaged Andrew to take on the next stage of the renovations and finish the whole house because I trusted him so much and was so happy with his work and prices. The second stage was completed to the same standard and I now have very happy tenants living in the house. This would not have been possible with out Andrew's work. I have recommended River City to a number of my friends and all have been very happy with the work done. Thank you Andrew and the whole team and keep up the good work!!

We are really pleased with the new kitchen Andrew built and installed in our flat. From the moment of first contact, Andrew was very attentive and efficient. He came up with an excellent design that maximises usage of the available space and has visual appeal, all at a reasonable price. He adhered to his schedule and finished the job in the time stated. It was indeed a pleasure dealing with Andrew, who takes responsibility from beginning to end without the need to communicate with multiple people. We can wholeheartedly recommend Andrew. If ever we need a kitchen or bathroom renovation in the future, we will certainly speak with him.July 2021In my previous review, above, for the kitchen renovation Andrew did for our investment property last year, I mentioned that if ever we needed future work done, we would speak with Andrew.Andrew has just completed a major renovation to the kitchen in our 1930s home and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. His suggestions in order to maximise space and functionality, all in keeping with the style of the home, have resulted in a kitchen to be proud of. Wherever issues arose, as they do with older homes, Andrew was able to solve the problem. Visitors comment on the amazing transformation and the quality of workmanship.Andrew is wonderful to deal with, very friendly, professional and organised. We may indeed need work done in the future, and it will be Rivercity Kitchens and Bathrooms that we contact first.

I recently had my kitchen renovated and am very pleased with the results. Andrew was professional and takes great pride in his work. Nothing was too much trouble. He was able to deal with my small bathroom changes, as well as adding concertina doors to my laundry cupboard and plane other doors that stuck. I would gladly recommend Rivercity Kitchens.

Andrew undertook a large renovation of our old Queenslander several years ago. We found him to be honest, transparent and highly capable - a very welcome improvement over other builders we had dealt with previously. Andrew built us a new kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, ensuite and study area. He approached the work as if it were for his own house and we could not be happier with the result. I highly recommend Andrew and his team.

Do not recommend! No transparency in quotation. Quotation looks good until you realise they quota for cheapest appliances possible and then hit you with variation when u choose a “normal” bath/basin or sink...Request a full breakdown of quotation (split between labour/type of appliances that’s included/fitting fees/management fees); ideally labour / tiling ...per hr/sq metres... Don’t get lurr by the “I have more than 30 years experience in this busines, you can trust me”. Make sure you have full breakdown and review contract clauses very thoroughly/add clauses to protect your interest too.Lead times go out the window for no reasons... Owner, Andrew Temple will work against you if you question any of his quotation so don’t sign the contract prior to getting full breakdown and clarity...It took over 6 months to get 1 room completed as Andrew dragged things on (sitting on our upfront payment of nearly 40% of total price) so ensure you protect yourself and add clauses around ordering of material and lead time to the contract before you sign it.Customer service skills and project management was poor as some details in our bathroom were not thought through. Not what you expect from + 30 years experienceIn response to Owners comment stating he has no record, that’s because the account would have been under my husbands name.I also recommend to look at Facebook reviews as when Andrew states he has never had any “complications”, other customers have posted reviews stating overwise!As for all the fabulous reviews that popped up over the last couple of weeks, one could wonder how so many can pop following my review from 2 months and none ever occurred prior although River Kitchen has been in business for over 30 years!
