We went to this cellar door as it had been recommended by friends of ours. Love that the wines are all actually made with grapes from the Hunter Valley. The staff were so knowledgeable and remembered exactly what we liked and drew attention to those wines so we could make sure we had time to try them. Wonderful experience, laid back and beautiful. I would definitely recommend that you add this to your list when you’re in the Hunter. We will be back.

Visited this afternoon. Really small, intimate cellar door experience. Staff member (didn’t get her name) was fantastic. Knowledgeable and friendly. Good wine selection.Very generous tasting experience for the redeemable $10.

Had a lovely tasting here one afternoon while my partner and I were travelling through the valley.Rebecca, our gracious host, was delightfully friendly - guiding us through their satisfying selection of boutique vinos.The cellar door and seating area is away from the main road with a beautiful view of the vineyard. There’s plenty of shade and a tidy bathroom.We’re definitely plan on coming back for a bottle or more.Highly recommend a visit.

One of the best cellar doors in the Hunter. The location is beautiful, wines are fantastic (especially the Chardonnay and Semillon), and the team are so friendly and welcoming. We visited on a cold autumn afternoon and sitting outside in the sun was so relaxing. Highly highly recommend!

I love this place. Sitting outside for a wine tasting is so relaxing. You are never rushed here, staff are genuine and wonderful. The wines are delicious also.

Hart & Hunter was perhaps the most boutique winery I visited in the Hunter Valley. This artisanal producer had everything I was looking for: daring and thoughtful wines, a chic cellar door with a great view of the estate vineyard, and welcoming staff who took pride in their work!I particularly enjoyed the Ciccia Blanco and Ciccio Rosso, both of which were unconventional blends that were distinct and reflective of the winemakers. It's no wonder that tasting guides at other cellar doors kept recommending this hidden gem to me. It was definitely worth the extra drive!
